Hey Guys! Thought I'd start a forum for those applying for Spring 2019 of the

Brookhaven nursing program. I still have to do the Critical Thinking exam, dosage calc class, Hesi! Can't wait to talk to you guys as we apply!!

I'm having my final blood draw for my Hep B titer this morning. I don't have enough time to wait the entire 30 days from my last shot, but if it comes back positive, I will meet with an advisor to apply on Thurs or Fri. Have you applied yet?

I turned mine in this morning! I'm applying with 37.2 points. What is everyone else applying with?

Im applying with 34 points plus my Texas Tech classes, hope they help. Turned my application in last week

I'm contemplating if should turn in my application. I got an 83 overall on my Hesi and I am awaiting a positive titer since I received a negative hep b titer a couple of weeks ago. I'm not too confident about my points since I have heard that you at least need to be in the high 30s to get an interview.

I think you should! Why not? I've heard mid 30s is fine for an interview so I hope I'm higher than enough applicants. I'm so nervous.

Thanks Tiffanif88. Hopefully my titer comes out positive tomorrow and then I will go Thursday to apply. Congrats on your Hesi score. You did a really great job!!!!!!! Your points should get you an interview!

Does anyone know how many people applied for Spring 2019? Also, how many students they are accepting for the term?

When I turned in my application 9/19, Barbara told me they already had a little over 100 applications. Do not know how accurate that is. I do not remember if they accept 40 or 60, anybody know?

I believe they accept 40 for Spring. I am not sure if that number has changed due to El Centro's nursing program closing. I heard they accepted more applicants than normal for Fall. I applied with 36.6 points. My points are not the highest, but I figured doesn't hurt to try!
