Brookhaven Nursing Spring 2016

U.S.A. Texas

Published

This forum is for anyone applying to the nursing program at Brookhaven College for the spring 2016 semester.

I will be applying for the spring semester and would like to meets others who are applying as well.

If you have done the 2 versions of the practice tests and you are comfortable, you will do great

Was the dosage calculations exam multiple choice?

Yes!

And pretty straight forward, if your answer is wrong you will know it. No trick questions.

Good luck!!!!! Let us know how you do ;)

I'm flipping out over here, this is all I need. I missed the first two tests. The first one we were driving home from Florida from a family vacation that was planned a year in advance and I had surgery last Wednesday and was in NO condition to take the test last Friday which leaves me only 2 tries to get this over with. If I pass I will be applying with a 29.81, if I fail both times then I will be devastated! :nailbiting:

Talk about pressure!!! Your points are great!! Just focus on the practice exams- they are identical. I did not use a book at all.

Im taking my HESI again in 2 weeks to try to boost my points. Any little bit will help. I got a 89.2% on my last one so theres 10 potential points out there I can get!! Its crunch time.

PD82,

If you don't mind me asking, where are you going to take your Hesi?

Did you take first hesi in this application period? I thought I read you can only take it once in an application period.

Judging from the type of student you are, I know you will be fine on dosage test. It really isn't hard.

PD82,

I emailed the paramount testing center at El Centro about all HESI spots being full and they emailed back info on Prometric testing center and a test code.

Does Brookhaven have any open HESI spots??

I read on the Brookhaven Spring 2015 thread, page 1:

""Hey Daysxdesign,

I had this same question. I asked two advisors and these are the responses I received:

"You can take the HESI A2 only once per application time, during the months of FEB and SEPT at Brookhaven College. If you are planning to take the HESI at a different location, we cannot track it. So, it is up to you if you want to take the HESI at a different location."

Another advisor told me,

" At Brookhaven College we require that you take the HESIA2 once per application period. That being said if you take it in the summer and then again in Sept to apply to our program we are needing the score from the most current HESIA2. So you will not be disqualified. Any other questions please feel free to contact me."

Hope these responses help!""

I called Barb, she advised me not to retake it but if I really wanted to, I can. I will not take that chance so I will apply with 22.3 :(. Incase I don't get in I will apply for fall. In the mean time, I will finish the BSN classes.

Did she say how the points look this app period and if you have a shot with the 22.3?
