Just go to the Brookhaven Nursing website and they have all the papers you need to print and fill out, one of them being the points paper.

Hey everyone,

I applied for Spring 2016 and am so excited but the waiting is going to be hard. Does anyone know when we will know if we get an interview?? I'm sure it will be between Oct. 23 & Nov. 9 sometime but does anyone have an approximate date we will be notified if we will be getting an interview. :)

So we should be notified via email on October 16th about the points and how many they have calculated that we have, they give everyone a week to dispute their points (there are always mistakes).

I would say between Oct 26-Oct 30th we will know if we were chosen to interview. The top 50 scores will be given the chance to interview and do the writing sample worth an additional 10 points. I believe they cut 10 people after that so the top 40 will be accepted for the Spring semester. I hate waiting too, It's so nerve racking. We all can't wait to get accepted, then the stress really begins! lol

Hi everyone,

Can someone please help me figure out how to determine my Hesi score. I did good on every section except the a&p part, and the chemisty and biology sections. I didn't know those were on the exam. But, since Brookhaven only looks at the a&p, English, and math sections... how do I determine my overall grade for those sections??

I wish I could help, I didn't take the biology and chemistry section because they were not required. They could possibly help you when you turn in your application

Add up scores from these 5 sections:

Reading Comprehension

Grammar

Vocabulary

Math

A & P

then divide by 5

Hope that helps!! :)

I agree, although it would be wonderful if everyone confirmed their points early on and we could maybe hear something the 22nd or 23rd  wishful thinking lol!!

Last day to turn in your applications ladies and gentlemen.

Bldg. X, Room X1082 by 4pm  Good Luck!

I'm in the process of buying a new home and selling our current home so hopefully that will keep my mind occupied until we hear something back...

Anybody here live near the Wylie area?

I see that you have taken your HESI. Which study guide did you use to prepare? I recently ordered one off of Amazon. I am applying to Brookhaven's Nursing Program in the fall of 2016. I have taken ENGL 1301, SCIT 1407, and PSYC 2314. I am currently in CHEM 1405 and PHIL 2306. I have not taken my Dosage Calculations workshop. What should I expect?

I used this to study for the Hesi A2 entrance exam. I went though each chapter and worked out the practice problems/questions. The math, grammar, vocab, reading are spot on. Study up on your basic a&p.

The dosage calculations class will be in the December wintermester for those of you applying for Fall 2016. You pretty much buy the book and teach yourself. I recommend going through the book and working through all the practice problems in each chapter from front to back (there are several wrong answers in the book, once you know what you're doing you will find these) then take the two practice tests he will provide on ecampus and you'll be ready. It's really not that bad.
