Hello everybody! It's a little early, but I thought I'd start a thread for the Brookhaven Spring 2015 start date. How's everybody doing? :)

Did you do a print screen of the questions and answers you submitted? I did and there's errors on the test. I disputed the error and got my score adjusted.

What it comes down to is figuring out, is this something I can give a partial or fractional dose of. So in the example above, you can't give a partial capsule of something so you would give only one capsule since 1.63 would not be possible and 2 capsules would potentially be toxic. Same is true for when you have gtt/min or mL/hr problems since you cannot set the drop rate to partial drops. If you are calculating drops per min (gtt/min) and your calculation comes out to 8.6 drops per minute you would in this case round down. The cases you can give partial amounts would be injections where you could accurately measure to the tenth or hundredth, or certain tablets that are scored so you can accurately split them. I would go back through the module and review each section and make a list specifically of the rounding rules presented since that is exactly how the test rules will be. It made a huge difference when I retook my dosage exam the second time.

Dr. Meyer from Brookhaven is the instructor for the course. I had an issue where Elsevier updated their system and my course results disappeared. He was the only one able to help me retrieve my scores. His email is [email protected]

I e-mailed the Dean of Nursing directly letting him know of my dispute and which question. I was told the Dean had the ability to view the questions and answers and could change the score if needed. He contacted someone in evolve and CC: me in the e-mail and my score was adjusted the same day.

@ bioniksgirl & mjdunlap ........I had the exact issues that u guys had and I did email Dr. Meyer with that same email address .....twice and he never replied my mail. Now that you said it was rectified, I will definitely go to brookhaven tomorrow to see if I can catch him in the office. I have always suspected that there is something wrong with that website or the modules.

@ intricate......have you made your last attempt? If not, please take note of this and get ready to go table your case if the need arises.

Thanks for making me aware of the process and the steps I need to follow in order to possibly get this issue resolved.

Yes, I took my final attempt last night and I still didn't get my 90. After reading the responses from bioniksgirl & MJ, I emailed the dean this morning and he got right back with me. We have been emailing back and forth all day. He stated that he is very unhappy with the Elsevier module and that he will do whatever he can do to assist me. I have a meeting with him Tuesday. So, I am hoping he can help and that I can drop my application off as well. Reach out to him, he is definitely available because we are still emailing as I type this. Don't give up! I am doing everything in my power to get this issue looked into.

Definitely reach out to him. I forwarded my emails from Elsevier and he replied immediately and also emailed the nursing dept confirmation of my score.

@ intricate..........I am sorry about that but at least, you are getting a response. I just resent the email to him and I got a failure to send notice that the mail was returned. I used this email address, [email protected]. Is there any other way I can reach him because I need to see if he can take a look at my exam too. Will appreciate any help I can get now considering I still got 2 days.
