Thought I'd start a forum for those who are applying for Brookhaven's ADN program Fall 2018. Has anyone started on these particular things? --->

-prerequisites

-HESI A2

-online nursing information session

-critical thinking exam

-dosage calculations class

I look forward to talking to those who are going to be applying. Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Let us know how your hesi's went!!

What's going on today am I missing something?

Per the website applications are accepted feb 14-28. Can anyone verify? I'm planning on going tomorrow if so!

They are talking about the fact that Brookhaven opened the application day today, until the 28th, to apply for the nursing program.

Good luck to us all! Hopefully we're able to get into the program. I'm taking the critical thinking tomorrow and possibly turning in my packet as well.

I am turning mine in probably Tuesday 02/27. Because I have to get my immunization stuff filled out all over again :(

Do you have a copy of the immunization form from your last application period? The nurse may possibly take it as proof if she's the same one that filled it out. Can just be transfer it to the new sheet?

If you have your immunization paperwork you can bring it to the nurse and she can go through and sign the form for you. That's what I did bc my PCP office is a nightmare to deal with.

No I doctor's office filed it out. I am going to get my physician who I work under to fill it out this time this they have access to my medical records because I regular doctor wants me to come in for a whole visit just to fill it out. Don't have time for that. I though they would just be able to use the one I had on file last application period nothing change on it at all.

Maybe I can take all my records to her and get her to fill it out for me. Yes my doctors office wants to make a whole appointment just to get the sheet filled out again.

Another option may be to call your regular doctor's office for a printed copy of your records for pickup and just take that to the Brookhaven nurse.

Just so you can save a few days in case of any hiccups that may require more time.

Having to go through this application process again has been draining this time around. I feel like last application period I was more happy and excited this time I feel frustrated. I really can't afford to not get into the program this time. I paid to retake HESI but I am so scared to take it and do worse. I take it next Friday if I decide to I am listening to A&P lectures because that is the section I am afraid of. I know I can do the better in the other sections though.

Same, for me. I took the hesi again but didn't get the points that I wanted. So hopefully I can get the extra points with the critical thinking portion.

The hesi AP portion at Brookhaven that I took had a few kidney/renal system, anatomy, atomical body positioning, nervous system-CNS/PNS, membrane diffusion questions.
