Hello everybody! I will FINALLY be applying for Brookhaven for the Spring 2020 entrance. I have watched previous forums to see what to expect and I'm excited but nervous. Are there any students here enrolled in the concurrent enrollment through Brookhaven and Texas Tech? I hope to hear more from you guys as we go through this process!

For 10 dollars, that's not bad. I am definitely going to check them out. Was Chem. 1405 really that hard? I am taking it this fall along with Patho and I am so nervous. Wow, 5 classes in 1 semester doesn't sound fun. :D. But hey you did what you had to do, I might have to do the same. Usually, I take 2 classes a semester, along with some flex. I may be able to add in another if it's not so demanding.
For the points, I noticed that the hesi gives you the most. I am taking it this Friday actually as a practice one ( I am not too confident at the moment). Then after Septembers application period I am going to take it again. Hopefully, it does not count as me taking it twice an application period, since I am taking one before September then another one after.
I was also reading what you guys put regarding the dual program at TT. I am going to look into that too. Honestly, thank you soooo much for freely sharing.
You're welcome and yes, I passed 4 out of 5 classes so I guess I didn't do too bad lol. I'm in Chem 1405 now and let me tell you-it is not easy. But that's because I don't like chemistry and the way my professor has the class set up, there's something due like every 3 to 4 days so there's not much leeway to miss assignments. Other chemistry classes probably aren't set up that way so don't worry. I am enrolled in TT's program and I'll take the first class this summer (if finances allow I'll take both classes this summer, if not, i'll take one in the summer, the other in the fall). Best place to get help with the HESI is this FB group----> Online HESI A2 Study Group. EVERYTHING AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING you need to know to pass the HESI is there!!! Go look at it and study the files as much as you can then take your HESI. You will do well. I studied the files and on this last go around I got a 92.4.

That’s is awesome you’ll definitely get in with a 92.4. ? im going to retake mines. I’m in a Facebook group for the Hesi. Are the questions similar to the ones on the test and how much did your a your score improve from the last time you took it. I’m starting to study not little by little so I can thanks it in August or September. This nursing still is so stressful

This is great! I'm glad I will get points for taking these Texas Tech classes. But that also means range of points it takes to get in may go up as well because that's an extra 6 points for those make A's in both classes on top of the other classes that's listed there so this will be interesting...

@queeno and @Jaye Seals If you know what version (there's only 2) you'll be taking then you can take a mental note and remember which questions you took, look at the files from the group, retake it again then pass it. That's how I did it. I took it in mid January and scored an 86 overall but I needed an 80 on my math in order to apply to el centro so i had to retake it again. The other parts of the test I didn't have issues with because those are my strongest subjects-it was the math i needed help with. I looked at the files, refreshed myself on how to calculate math measurements and conversions etc (youtube was great for this!)...and I came back two weeks later and passed with a 92.4 overall (up from a 70 to an 86 on the math). So you can do it!
