hello,

i used to work there as a traveler, in the edip unit. i have no idea what the regular staff salary is, but i can tell you the er is the typically crazy nyc (bronx especially) er, people/patients everywhere. they will have 3 stretchers in a bay. it is a teaching hospital so you will be working with lots of residents. the bronx has the highest incidence of asthma in the us so you will be doing lots of breathing treatments...

the pharm exam was easy for me (of course i have been a nurse for almost 20 years). good luck. i would work there again as a traveler.

thank you nynurseatheart,

sorry for the late response. i actually took the pharm exam and did great!!! do you remember what color scrubs they wear? i believe i saw blue, but i dont know if it's light blue or navy blue. i'm very nervous about going into the er. do you have anymore advice?

From what I remember, it was any color top, and white bottoms (ugh, took me 10 years of nursing before I was finally able to wear any color scrubs). As a traveler, we only had to look presentable (they didn't care so much about us following the regular staff dress code). Of course this is almost 2 years ago, so I am not sure any more. When do you start there?

LOL... I start on 6/6!!! Im so nervous, this is my 1st job out of nursing school.

Congratulations! Do u have a bsn? Cause inapplied there too. Thanks :)

thanx jm rn

yes i do have a bsn. when did you apply?

Hi msrndiva, just wanted to know how did you apply to bronx leb? and how long did it take for them to call you for an interview? are you a new grad? I've been working for 3 months but I'm looking to leave my hospital. Thanks!

i've been applying there for about a year (email and fax). i believe emailing the recruiter is what landed me an interview. they called the same day. yes, i'm still considered a new grad. what hospital are you working at right now?

Thank u for responding, I work in a hospital in pa but im looking to move to ny (im from ny originally). How did you get the recruiters email?

What's ur email address. I cant send private messages yet.
