any one on here having to use the Bristol Stool chart at work? It may be just an english thing, but it's still freaky, i can see whay it is used but i keep laughing everytime i have to refer to it (which aint that often i know poo when i see it!) lol anyone have an opinion on this?
I have seen the chart posted before in, get this, my sisters orthopedics office!!:rotfl: We might use it at my hospital for all I know, I work in nursery, so it wouldn't help there, don't see meconium or transitional stools on the chart!
LMAO, the spell checker doesn't recognize meconium!!

The chart is incomplete. It needs to include pictures of GI bleeds, malabsorption of fat, C. diff, and rotavirus. Scratch and sniff panels would help even more
Although I am not a healthcare worker, I can recognize a GI bleed and malabsorption of fat from past personal experience. My experience in dissecting pig intestines has also allowed me to recognize the smell of small intestine contents in both vomit and stool.
