Bristol Community College Nursing

Published

Hello,

I wanted to know of anyone looking into the Bristol Community College nursing program or who is currently in it or was in it.

I am still taking the competitive pre-req courses right now to be able to apply to the Fall 2011 nursing program for Bristol Community College in Massachusetts. I currently have a 4.0 GPA.

After this semester, I just need to take A&P II (summer class) and Microbiology (Fall class). After that, all of the courses I need for the nursing program are complete except for the actual nursing classes.

If I get accepted into the BCC program for the Fall 2011 class, will I only be able to take 1 nursing class/semester so it's an additional two years from Fall 2011?

Thanks for your input!

Who's not teaching anymore? I love *****. She's tough but I learned a ton in her class.

One of my history classes count, the other does not. I need to meet with an advisor. When I took the 2 classes they were together (I think it was Hst21 and 22- I will check on that)

I took AP 1&2 qith *****. When did you take it? She is very tough but an awesome professor. I learned so much.I have taken so many history classes but dw states I still need one.

I took her in Attleboro last summer. I took her for A&P I in the first half of the summer (6 week option), then took ****** for the 2nd half of the summer.

I wonder if the history classes do count, but Degree Works is wrong? Hmmm.

I'm pretty sure our info packets tell us we have to buy the scrubs from a particular uniform store in Fall River. The reason is because that store puts the BCC logo on all the clothes.

I took a&p in the fall, but I found out I needed to take Chem and my advisor told me not to take both at the same time, he td me to take chem for now so I did. But I definetly hope dw I'd wrong because I really don't want to take anymore history classes!

I paid my deposit today. unfortunately, the nursing receptionist said she couldn't give me any additional info or paper work. Just like with the acceptance, we have to wait for everything by mail. I feel like I just got accepted to work for the CIA, not nursing school :lol2:she did tell me that the packets should be mailed next week. they will include info on the orientation in April and info on some of the things we need to do/buy. she also said that at orientation another packet will be given out. If all goes well and we do get the packets next week, do you guys want to meet up the week after?

Does anyone know anything about the LPN to RN bridge program?

Does anyone know anything about the LPN to RN bridge program?

From what I've heard, they start after the 1st semester. I know a girl who has applied, but hasn't heard yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they get notified later, because she'd be awesome in the program.

from what I was told is that the LPN get placed in second semester but after people from first semester leave or are kicked out of the program.
