Hi all,
I wanted to create this thread for students applying to BCC's program for Fall 2021. How are things going for everyone in the current climate? Please feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, etc. Former/current students, do you have any insight to share?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
First and most important step: Take a deep breath!
I found it very helpful to try to break up the readings and read with the powerpoints the professor gives you and add anything that isn't covered that you think is important. I found this saved a TON of time by not re-writing what is already covered in the powerpoints, also add any notes from the voice threads.
Your first assessment is usually the math. There should be a code in the front of your Ogden book to do extra practice questions if you want them. They also walk you through setting up the problems which I found helpful
Also when you go study for the exams, there are a TON of question sets on Quizlet

Hi there! Personally I'm just trying to do my best and keep up with all of our content; it's been challenging. Our first assessment was interesting (to say the least!) and not quite knowing what to expect going in, it was an experience haha. How have things been going for you?
@Victoria P I saw your feature in the Bayhawk as well! I'm rooting for you and you'll make a wonderful CNM one day!

Thank you so much, I was so excited when it came in the mail! Our first exam was definitely interesting.. nothing like I've ever taken before but I'm pretty proud of my 86.. it's not super high but I'm proud of it! I need to learn to go with my gut and not change my answers ??♀️ Haha I would have gotten into the mid 90s LOL

You did very well! I would feel good about that score; I completely understand with having second thoughts on the answer you picked. That element of uncertainty can really just make you change your mind... for better or worse LOL

Yes Goodmorning I am very excited because my clinical hours are long but perfect! I can handle 12 hours a week.
