Bristol Community College (BCC) Nursing 2020

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone! I am creating this forum in hopes to connect with other pre-nursing students who will be applying into BCC's program for Fall of 2020! What are your grades and TEAS scores? Also, current/former students, do you have any advice or insight on the program?

I look forward to hearing from you!

I'm curious if anyone has a degree already? My friend asked me why I was bothering going back to school for Nursing when I already have a degree in Business. I have numerous reasons but mainly because Business is not for me. I worked in the Prudential towers at Wayfair. I also originally wanted to be a Nurse straight out of High School.

Hi all. Current BCC nursing student class of 2021 here. Should be studying but decided to check this out instead. Best of luck everyone. Like everyone else said, keep an eye on degreeworks, your major will change on there before you receive an acceptance letter in the mail. I found out I got in Feb 23.

edit: oh also, Don't worry about your TEAS score. As long as you got a 50 or over you're fine. They don't rank your score and compare it to other students. It's just a checkbox on the application. I only studied for a few days and got a 68. It's fine. Only thing that determines if you get in or not is your GPA for the specific prerequisite courses.

@CarrieKris

I do! I have a BS in Marine Bio with a minor in Education

Everytime I get an email notification for this I hope it's someone noticing an update on degree works lol

I was working towards education ten years ago, then business five, neither panned out my heart wasn't in it.

@JMB88 Admissions told me if they have 25 seats for eHealth (for example) and the last few applicants have the same GPA they go by TEAS

@Kelsey Houlihan They made it sound like all the 4.0 get in this is when they have 2 people who have like a 3.5 and one spot. But who knows we all got told so many different things

But what if all the top applicants are 4.0

I mean, enough to fill every spot.

I have read about programs turning away 4.0 applicants. One applies to alternate programs until they are accepted somewhere. Better to attend another program, than not attend at all.

There is that I'm gonna throw up feeling again.
