Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.
My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much.
(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

jems which hospital are you from SG?
that's true, its not about how long your hospital experience is/was. what matters is how you cope with their culture and adapt it. nope, i went to IHNA. and so therefore, it doesnt matter if you do the BP in a university or non.
Hi Jems! How was your experience with IHNA? I'm for their January2014 intake. How many days/weeks did it take for you to get your registration? Thanks!

i went to their perth campus and the experience was good theory wise and regarding the clinical practice, it depends on the hospital they're going to assign you. finished my course last Aug 9, got my reg by 20th of the same month.. good luck!
gud day every one!
Ive been reading threads regarding the process on how to be an AusRN. I just passed my application to AHpra last monday and forwarded my Cert. of Good Standing and IELTS results yesterday. When will be the best time for me to follow up/call AHPRA office?
And while waiting for my Letter of Eligibility, is it ok for me to complete the requirements for my target schools like ACON's immunization?
Another question, does anyone know if IHNA is offering bridging program in their Sydney Campus? Thanks!
