Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi everyone! I'm new here. Anyone here knows how long it will take to receive the LOE from AHPRA? I have applied in AHPRA VIC last Mid July and I've received an email (with subject 'DO NOT REPLY') from them that they have assessed the reqts submitted and they are requesting a certof good standing last Aug. 1. I immediately requested a certificate of good standing from the PRC in the Philippines and it was sent last Aug. 2 and the courier told me that it'll be delivere 2-3 working days, and I tracked the shipment and it says that it was received on 5 Aug. and until now I am not yet receiving any email from them. Anyone here who lodged their application in AHPRA VIC? Thanks!

It really takes some time and it varies too per state. Mine was lodged in Western Australia and I got it after 3 months. I know of some who got theirs only after a month, others have to wait for a year. It really will depend too on how fast your requirements are sent, processed. etc.

I'm a graduate of nursing in the Philippines. I'm planning to take my masters in university of sydney. does that count as a bridging program? or should I take the bridging first then enroll a masters after?

i have just been offered a slot for the october intake at ACN. i've completed my application with them last july 9, and i'm quite surprised that my application has been processed that fast. now, i'll just have to apply for a visa. is there anyone here who has also been offered a slot for the october intake at ACN? here's my email add: [email protected]

you myt want to get in touch with e coz it's really gonna be quite tough to commence the class when you're a stranger to everyone else. lol

i'm sorry, i think i posted a wrong email add..here's the correct one:

Hi guys! I just got my eligibility letter. I would like to know if there are any particular schools that are recommended for the bridging program? Thanks!

Hi im new here. I'd like to ask how to ask for extension for the online bridging course in IHNA or did anyone tried extending it? how? thanks

Specializes in ICU.

Hi! Better to ask IHNA directly. You can give them a call or email them and state your reasons for asking for extension. Good luck!

Hi! In what branch of AHPRA did you lodged your papers? You can check the list of accredited bridging programs provider in AHPRA's website.

I applied at AHPRA QLD. Im thinking about applying at all schools in VIC butam targeting Deakin.

I, too, if ever I would receive my eligibility letter, I want to have my bridiging program under Deakin. Update me about your Deakin application if you don't mind! Thanks.
