Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.
My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much.
(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)
Hi kingkoy007.....how about in lodging visa... dod you do it on your on or have an agency.... need any info cause i will be doing it for myself... about the attachment... and answers to all the question .. CAN YOU share your experience.. thanks
Hi marlyn10! :) I didn't lodge my VISA on my own. I had an agent to do it for me. But looking back on it now, if I had the chance to, I would've done it on my own. Agents charge too much and time it takes to get a result is just the same as doing it on your own. So, if I could advise you, better do it on your own. It'll save you heaps of money. :)
Keep them coming if you have more questions. :)
My experience hasn't been very good with ETEA since they "accidentally" placed me on placements which eventually needed me to extend my VISA. But since I had the old 456 VISA, all I had to do was exit the country and then come back for another 3 months extension. I started April 3, and finished the entire course last July 12. Lodged my application for registration last week and I got it this week - just yesterday. :)

I'm from bataan. Still waiting for my visa grant notice. I'm already done with my medical exam last june 28. I also lodged my application at via center. When did you lodge your visa app? I'll be staying at my uncle's place in rooty hill. How about you?
rooty hill is a bit far. farthest I've been was Paramatta. anyway, i'm leaning towards the eastern suburbs. I'll need to look for cheap accommodations though. did you receive your visa already?? did you email CON re your recent work experience and accommodation for the clinical placement? Haven't done it yet.
