Bridging Program in Australia

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

hi milakunis.. so you're for LTU bp.. for me I am for IhNa.... i start processsing the documents needed for bp

Yes for the Mrsa. I asked them and they said that it is needed. So it is what I am rushing now. I got my visa already. Are you for melbourne too? Have you applied for a visa yet?

hi evan.. in their form IHNa they said that MRSA is not needed it's only for perth...

thanks evan.... so if that's the case you'll have 2 or more certifications or you'll just have them consolidated in one form only.. still confused about this.. sorry evan for disturbing you.. but it helps much for any information that we can get here...

no I just gave the latest certification for my Varicella (if that's what you are talking about) since 2 doses are required (for NSW immunization).

hi evan.. in their form IHNa they said that MRSA is not needed it's only for perth...

Yes that's what I thought so too but when I confirmed with the one who is handling my app in IHNA, she said it was needed even in Melbourne (Perth students have to retake their MRSA there in Aussie basing from the Welcome email I got). So it is what I am rushing (the certificate) because I actually got an urgent email last Friday to provide already the certificate.

hi evan10... how can we pay enrollment fee online.. i can't find the link.. thanks again

Hi everyone! Anyone here for September Intake at College of Nursing (CON)? Thank you

Hello. It's sad i wasnt able to pass my visa on time for the july intake. I was moved to the september intake. Acn already sent me the new offer letter. Anyway, God bless you on your bp!

Hi cyndi0116,

ACN send me letter that I'm in for their Sept Intake, however I still have lots of questions in mind since it's just a few weeks from now..I'm worried that I'll not be able to have my visa on time..

May I know the type of visa that you applied for?

What other steps did you do after receiving the letter

Thank you very much

Hi bottlenose. The visa you need to apply is visitor visa subclass 600 business stream. I was initially for the july intake but wasn't able to submit my visa so i was moved to the sept intake. I'm already done with my medical exam last june28 but until now i haven't received my visa grant notice. I'm actually worried because it's been 5weeks since i lodged my application in their service partner. I think you should start preparing the docs for the visa app and lodge the application asap. Though i also know of some who had their visa processed faster than mine (released about 3days after the results of their medical had been forwarded to the embassy). When did you receive your offer letter from acn? Check the website Department of Immigration & Citizenship you will find the visa app form and the attachments needed

Hi guys. I'm new here. I would just like to ask if I'll be having problems with getting a job here in Australia if I didn't have as much experience as I'm supposed to have. I mean, I only have 7 months experience as a VN (volunteer nurse) and a year as a phlebotomist. But, luckily, I got myself into the bridging program and passed. I'm currently waiting for my registration now which would hopefully come within next week. I'm just worried that I might have trouble getting a job here in Australia as most of the application now is done online and most employers usually base on the experience more. Hope I could get an insight on this.

If anyone would like to ask regarding BP course, maybe I could be of help and you could ask me. I took the course with ETEA. All the best to everyone. Good luck, God bless and never stop praying.
