I'm wondering if any one has heard of Brandman University. They have a new ABSN program in San Diego, CA that i'm looking into. My grades are not competitive but i want to get into my career soon.
Has anyone been to this school, and if so, how did you like it? Do you think I'll be able to land a good job as an RN if I were to apply and attend? I'm nervous, since it is a new program! Such as, what if they end up closing and the degree won't be valid ?
I got a call for acceptance today as well as one of my friends. Good luck to you all! Hope you receive a call too ? my counselor was Ryan and this was my third application period. I start August 31st!
Congratulations! Are we expecting a call from our advisors if we are accepted ?
@ABN im not sure if im the only one but whenever I call him, he normally doesn't answer his phone and I end up leaving a voicemail and he either calls me or emails me. But I called him and he emailed me saying we should hear from them by the end of the week.
Does anyone have any updates?
@jluc13 You know I honestly I've been running into a few issues with him. He's been weird about updates and IDK but it makes him seem lowkey unreliable to me. For some crazy reason my transcripts were missing for like a whole month and I'd get things like they're still missing it, even though the one-stop person told me they're in. Or he said he doesn't have access at certain times in the day so he'll get back to me, but doesn't unless I follow up....
Anyways I emailed him the other day about a update and here's what he said,
"Everything’s still moving forward. They may be taking a bit longer than anticipated however. I expect all students would be notified by the end of this week.
I still haven’t heard anything. ------------------- just said he can’t see anything until files are unlocked?
That’s interesting. My advisor said they have the applicants that are accepted already and some advisors are giving the applicants a call but she also told me they are sending out the letter today in mail.
@ABN honestly he is unreliable he gave me the whole run around a couple times and told me the exact same thing about not having access to certain things. @acarson7 dang so they pretty much told everyone they accepted then?
@jluc13 Smh. Why do I feel like based on all the different experiences people are having with the different advisors, it might have an affect on our chance at admission hahah I haven't heard anything positive about our EC yet.

No I wouldn’t say that. I didn’t know some people were getting calls that they were accepted so I contacted my advisor yesterday and she called me today letting me know I got accepted and the letters are being mailed out today. To me, it seems like some of the advisors are all over the place.
