Completed my practical nursing course in 2008. Took Nclex last May and failed... yes I failed. My school knows about it and my closes friend.. I posted it on here to asked support because I don;t know how to bounce back or get into my studying again. Can anybody suggest how I will start.
Today has been the worse day....i found out i failed my nclex....i am completely devastated. I do not know what to do now.... with myself, with my life..... i just cannot believe i FAILED...when i saw those words, my heart just stopped. I know that I will be a good competent nurse...this is my passion.
what to do????
omg go find a cliff...and sit next to it.
seriously take a chill pill for a moment there are plenty of things you can do and you know its not the end of the world, matter fact it might be an opportunity unless you had a job lined up.
Right not most grads are sitting on their ass for six months looking for something, so instead of doing that go take the CNA test or LPN test and get working...you probably qualify for it in your state. Its better to be working in the field and get experience than feeling sorry for your self.
Oh ....and if this is having such an impact on you than do your self a favor...GO TO THE GYM! Work it out and life will seem to happen no matter what.
I know how it feels to fail the test. I too felt sad about not passing my exam. Yesterday I took the test and did the pvt and got a bad news bcoz I didn't get the pop up. However, it didn't made me discourage instead I went back from being sad after a couples of hr and went back straight from studying. So today, Ian eagerly studying and trying to read the questions carefully, understanding all the rationales and using different resources such as lippinccott Saunders QanAs also. Re-reading my Kaplan book cover to cover and check what have I missed or not fully understand. Just remover guys, it's not the end of the world if we fail, but use it a motivation to strive to get back on Tract to pass the board. While waiting the CPR from the Bon try to do at least 50questions a day and read the rationale if you missed the questions try to write it down on into your notebook and before you sleep try to read the rationale. But of course as we study don't forget to take a break. Walk around or listen to the music. Also, if you need a motivations there are things around us that we can pull through to move on from the devastating experience. Just think about your future goals, your family and love ones that are always there no matter what. The reason why I got up really fast because I have a wonderful partner that support and encourage me. I know my parents were sad, but I told them they shouldn't be because I'm am ok though felt a little bit sad. But I am eager to strive for the best and move on with my life:)
After so many years am back to this site again. Yes I was able to bounce back after having break from reading my review books and answering questions I passed my LPN Nclex and been working for several years now.
I decided to go back to school 2 ago and in the RN nursing program now. my first year I withdraw because did not pass my calculation test they required you to get 90% and i did not.
Now am failing because I can not cope up with the volume of works we got to do in class. I need to learn how to bounce back again.

Best way to bounce back is to take a couple of days off then start again. Don't ever give up.
