Boston Med-new TV show, will you be watching?

i keep seeing previews for this new show starting tonight on abc. i'm hoping it includes some great nurses rather then just focusing on the physicians. what do you guys think?

wolverine. i totally agree! i liked episode 2 this week. I thought it was much better than episode 1! they did a good job of showing the various roles and responsibilities that nurses do on a daily basis that defy the nurse stereotype often portrayed in media.

I agree. This week was so much better. Not just the RN part, but even the MD's stories, and the baby with the heart defect was heart-wrenching, too!

:yeah:I loved the nurse who explained that nurses do a lot more than give out meds and get bedpans. Then she spoke to the resident about a patient and suggested a dosage of meds that would work. The female intern declined to approve the med, but her resident agreed with the nurse. The nurses worked as a team, taking care of the patients, while the interns who knew less than the residents were busy looking things up on the computer. Show more nursing care please!!!

:loveya: Bravo! This should be required for all nursing students at the beginning of their school year. We, as nurses, are a part of the team and we are there to protect and take care of the patient. We are professionals and should be treated that way always!

Did yall see the scene where the ER nurse was telling the drunk guy " you should have thought about that before you drank all that alcohol!! you aren't going anywhere!!" lol I loved that.

i am watching it and it looks pretty nice, but only focusing more on surgical physicians but we do see ER nurses

My instructor showed us episodes 1-6. Nice see in episode 6 Nurse Mike doing his job.

The bit showing the guys blowing off steam in Tampa was great, especially the older RN explaining that the residents "rent" the hospital for 4 years but the nurses "own" the hospital.

Thanks for the heads up as I watched the first season last year and thought it was the best medical show I'd seen in a long time. I'll be so happy if there is another season of them starting!
