Yeah apparently they're behind for some reason. they haven't even began the selection process yet, as of yesterday. They probably won't tell us anything til next week. While we're waiting, What are your stats if you don't mind sharing? It seems everyone here did fairly well, its gonna be interesting.

I got 93.3 on HESI and GPA 4.0 on ALL prerequisites. I will be very surprised if they don't accept me.

I did 94% on HESI and 4.0 GPA in general, including prerequisites and every other subject I ever took.
However, I like to stay humble and not play with karma LOL. Nothing wrong with being confident but surprises can happen.
Especially because I know at least 8 people from my previous classes that did very good. Only 81 seats...

OK, good luck. These are pretty high scores. I am sure they will accept you. Do you happen to know anybody in the program? I am trying to get my hands on NUR112 syllabus to get head start.

No unfortunately, but guessing we will get it some time before the semester starts anyway if we’re accepted.
Someone in the previous comments mentioned they were in the program, might worth a try reaching out!
Every professor organizes their syllabus differently, but if you want to prepare in advance some of the first topics in Fundamentals are oxygenation, blood flow, and vital signs.
You will also have a math exam at the beginning of each semester. The department will provide a free 2 day workshop before classes start to get you up to speed in case you forgot your math. The exam consists of 10 questions, no calculator. You need 80 to pass.
I also recommend that you prepare for a bunch of additional costs on top of tuition. I wish someone told me about these. The textbook and everything that came with it was $800. The package used for background checks and medical clearance documents was $200. You’ll need to buy stuff for your clinicals like uniform/shoes/stethoscope/etc. You’ll need to get BLS training.

Thanks for the advice! Good to know!
Unfortunately textbooks are always cost an arm and a leg. My 3 online class material (ebook, manuals etc.) cost about 400 this past semester.
Thank God I already have stethoscope, shoes, I’m certified for BLS for my job because I’m already working in medical field...
Is math like conversions/clinical values?

For NUR112 did you use the book Fundamentals of Nursing author Potter, Perry?

Yes. I think you can find a pdf version of an older edition online for free. I don’t recommend buying anything yet since BMCC will want you to buy a specific package that includes the textbook.
