Unfortunately textbooks are always cost an arm and a leg. My 3 online class material (ebook, manuals etc.) cost about 400 this past semester.
Thank God I already have stethoscope, shoes, I’m certified for BLS for my job because I’m already working in medical field...
Is math like conversions/clinical values?
Yes, conversions, calculating ml/hr, drops/min, reconstitutions. You will get a ton of practice problems before the exam if you attend the workshop.

You will also have a math exam at the beginning of each semester. The department will provide a free 2 day workshop before classes start to get you up to speed in case you forgot your math. The exam consists of 10 questions, no calculator. You need 80 to pass.
I also recommend that you prepare for a bunch of additional costs on top of tuition. I wish someone told me about these. The textbook and everything that came with it was $800. The package used for background checks and medical clearance documents was $200. You’ll need to buy stuff for your clinicals like uniform/shoes/stethoscope/etc. You’ll need to get BLS training.
Thanks for sharing this info. So that’s approximately $1,000 in cost, not even counting the uniform and shoes and stethoscope. And then a BLS course probably has some cost associated with it too.
I got quoted 85 for BLS and they are all being held virtually right now . Has to be AHA not Red Cross or so I have been told . Maybe currently enrolled students can correct me .I think it’s best to wait on all those things - so many things are changing all the time as well as the program who knows what they will accept / need / want in the time of corona virus

Question... What kinda math problems are they asking that don't require a calculator?
14 hours ago, Ticiaa said:No, only math, reading, A&P and critical thinking.
Hello... the Critical Thinking part is based on what? I don't see that listed on the HESI A2 review books? Do you recommend a particular book. Someone recommend the mathdude on YT and the nursehub site. Thanks.
They are common sense questions within a health care setting . Anyone already working in health care could advise better . There were some quizlet quizzes I looked at that were helpful but I never found a book . They are more like scenarios and you have to pick the most correct or best answer

I hope so too. Looking at past semesters here, they've never called/emailed decisions on a holiday or a weekend. But lets see ??
Happy holidays
