Hello everyone,
I am a new RN in the MICU @ a huge hospital. I'm a little intimidated and nervous and keeping up on my education always helps. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a critical care handbook I can keep by my computer for reference? And a book I can maybe have to do more detailed review? Your input would be greatly appreciated!:)

Also consider some of the better nurse references available as cell phone apps. It is good to have a quick reference close at hand.

Agree with what rat says. If your allowed to use your phone, or maybe a tablet, an Ipad mini maybe will hold anything.
That said, this I used the critical care guide when I'm running EMS or working in the ED.

check out Skyscape, they have lots of books electronically for your phone, once installed it will search every book loaded not just the one your currently in. I have been using them for almost 10 years and notice many MD's also using it.
