Book you can't live without.

Just curious, what non-textbook have you relied on most during NS? I don't want to jump the gun and buy anything I don't need, but want to start window shopping.

For nursing school the worst thing I had to deal with was the writing, and care planning. So my favorite was the Mosby Nursing Diagnosis book, by Ackley and Ladwig. Since I had no prior experience whatsoever, it really helped me see what things I needed to look at, as well as being specific enough to help me in my writing.

A collection of short stories by Ernest Hemingway.

Seriously, I can't read nursing stuff all the time. My eyes start to cross.
