Anybody apply or go to Bon Secours School of Nursing? I just recently applied and i was wondering if anyone has gotten an acceptance letter? And i was wondering what the average Gpa and teas test results for the school is!!

I already have a laptop and I am seriously thinking about using it for classes but I don't know if it is necessary. Guess I will find out on the first day of class.:nurse:

Has anyone gotten anymore information yet?

Do you ladies already have your CPR Certification? I called and s/w Marie and she gave me the # for American Heart Association or American Red Cross. I thought maybe they were going to send us something in the mail in reference to CPR but Marie informed me no, this is something we need to go ahead and get on our own.

American Red Cross # 804-343-2088 for $80, includes the book and American :redbeatheHeart Association 1-877-AHA-4CPR for $75 but it doesn't include the book.

Oh almost forgot, you have to pay in advance in order to sign up for a class and they do accept credit cards over the phone.

I Teach the American Heart CPR for Heathcare providers! If you need to get it I can hold a class if we have at least 4 people. It is $60 and you need to get a book $12 in advance. If you have never had it before it is an 8 hour class, but I can do it in about 5. Let me know if you need it. And what are we paying in advance for? I was under the understanding that we had to meet with someone from Bon Secours to sign up for any classes.

No i havent got anymore information yet. Does anybody know when orientation is because i have summer vacations and i'm trying to make sure its not during any of them? Oh and when are we sopposed to sign up for classes im just so confused with this whole process?

From what Marie said orientation will be held in August. She said they are getting packets together now to send out to students. We will have to get a physical but that is to be done at Windsor Park.

VAMEDIC07 - Let me know if you get 3 more people for the CPR class. I would definitely be interested. $67 is cheaper than $75 or $80.

Hey guys,

Congrats to all of you who are in!

I have a question....So I have been working on pre-reqs, I only have anatomys left. I was a dental assistant for 7 years. After the summer semester ended, I started looking for summer work when I came across a awsome position at VCU, teaching dental radiology...its great pay with all the bells and whistles of working for the state. I apllied and was offered the job, and I accepted. My plan was to apply to J sarg, John Tyler, Bon secours, Southside ....anyways I was going to go full time....however I couldnt turn down the offer...So finally my question is are any of you going to work full time and do NS part time. What did Bon Secour say about working? J sarg really looks down on you if you work and they dont have a night program. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

P.S I know all the good instructors if you guys want suggestions let me know, as I have taken all the pre reqs..(except anatomy)
