Hey future Nurses-to-be,

I keep trying to write in the other thread but it kept freezing my computer! LOL, So I figure I start a new one with a new title for us since we are new students for the Spring 2010 semester! I am so excited that I really can't contain myself and I can't wait till school to start. But I had a question and I am happy that hjohanss answered this question, which was great. It was about the nursing shoes because I wanted to make sure I get my pair this week since I won't be working for after this. So where can we get the Oxford nursing shoes from? I am trying to get everything I need. My bf is going to help me, financially and emotionally (I love him like crazy, lol) so I am happy to have by my side. Also, did anyone go to the MAth review? Can I go to the one tomorrow even though it's not for our section? I had to miss the one today because of work.

I wish I can change the title, I just realized I wrote "Sprint" not SPring, oops, lol.

Hey CP1983!

Congrats on your acceptance as well! :D Which section are you in? Morning or afternoon? I am in the afternoon. As for the math review, yes, I did go today and I am not sure about going to the review tomorrow but maybe you can give it a shot? The review today wasn't too bad- our professor was a bit on the ''off'' side since she hasn't had much sleep and was all over the place today haha

Excuse me, I meant to say morning* I am in the morning section

Hey JuniperLee,

I am in the morning section, as well! That's cool. I can't go to today's review because of work (my boss is out) so I am holding down the finance department. I am trying to get whatever I can get done before the new person comes in and I can train him or her (but it will be for a part-time basis anyway). But do you think the math review was worth it? What did you guys go over? Did the professor give the date of when our competency test is? I am going to try to review on my own soo. Did you start reading the chapters they requested? And where is our first clinical class held at? I think its S-seven-sixty-four but I am not sure. If you can send me a PM.:D

Hey there!

Oh wonderful! I will be seeing you on Thursday morning then! :D As far as the math review goes, it was basically a refresher of topics and formulas that we needed to know. The professor also introduced some questions that will eventually come up on our exams. However, learning on your own with the MAT104 book is also highly recommended. No, they did not tell us a date for the competency exam but she did say that every professor is different. Some schedule it as soon as possible while others take a while. Yes, our first class will be held in room S764 at 9 o'clock instead of 8. Yes, I did start reading the chapters but have not finished yet :( did we need to finish them all before class started? Will you bring the text book to class?

Hey quick question to you have been accepted already, were you guys able to take to take a pre-req class during the summer before applying? I am applying for fall but I have to take a class in spring. Possible?

Saw some BMCC students today taking lunch in my area (Upper EastSide of Manhattan), at least one assumes they were nursing students by their uniform (dark blue scrubs, huge white with blue & red "BMCC" patch. Guess they had clinicals at Lenox Hill Hospital, which is down the street from where I live.
