Hi all .Did we have to pay for the HESI 2 exam? And how much?

Hi everyone,

I`m a transfer student who is looking forward to get into bmcc program sometime this coming fall, God`s willing . I submitted my checklist last week on Wednesday and I got a response this week that I`m eligible to apply for the fall program. I was a little bit excited about this news. I took all my prerequisite classes at another cuny school + Organic Chemistry. The only prerequisite that I took at bmcc was Math 104 which I did in Winter of 2020 .So the e-mail that I have received had 2 attachments : The first attachment is the nursing program application and the second attachment is the instructions on how to apply for the HESI 2 Exam including the link to HESI 2 registration page. The fee for the HESI Exam is $53 . The e-mail said that once you fill out the application and register for the HESI , then you can go to the nursing department in person to submit your application and a copy of your HESI 2 registration receipt. After that , they will email you the date of your exam. But as far as the date and the time is gonna take for them to give us a feedback , I have no idea. Maybe once I complete this all process , I`ll know when I`ll be scheduled to take the exam. The only thing that I know for now is that I`m eligible to apply but that does not guarantee my acceptance into the nursing program. One thing that I have learned about cuny nursing is that , it`s very competitive, so I don`t keep all my eggs in one basket. If it works out , praise the Lord but if not , praise the Lord again. Life goes on!

That`s all I have to say to you my fellow students. I just wanna wish all the best to everyone that is applying for this upcoming fall semester.

Hello guys.Does anyone have recommendation on what books to get to prepare for the HESI 2 exam

The first book I`ll think of is the HESI Admission Assessment Exam review book by Elsevier. But the topics are very summarized. So I`m looking for more resources that will help me to prepare for this exam. Once I find something else, I`ll post it.

Hi everyone.

Are you required to complete all pre-requisites with grades received when you complete the checklist/apply to the program?

For example, I completed all pre-requisites except A&P2 which I will take in the Fall. Can I apply for Spring 2021 even though I will receive that grade in late December? I heard that they accept on a conditional basis.

Thank you and my prayers with you all!

Hi! It depends on which program you want to get into. If you're applying for the day program you are only required to complete the five pre-requisites: ENG 101, MAT 104, PSY 100, BIO 425 and CHE 121. The flexible core courses: SPE 100, BIO 420 and BIO 426 can be completed while you're in the day program.

But, if you're applying to the evening/weekend program BIO 420 and BIO 426 must be completed before entry, in addition to the five other pre-requisites.

To my understanding, I think you wouldn't be eligible to apply for Spring 2021 if you receive the grade in late December because applications are usually due around November. I definitely think you should ask if anything.

Best of luck!

Hi all,

But if you have already taken your five prerequisites which include Chem 121 , then you`re eligible to apply for fall unless you`re planning to apply for the evening section which requires Bio 420 as well 426.

HESI 2 exam cancelled for fall 2020.What do you guys think?

I figured that would happen! Now it’s according to your GPA!

Happy not to have to sit another exam but not sure my grades are good enough . Plus maybe more ppl will apply now because it’s just GPA and I’m sure they will have drop out this semester because of all the stress and they keep some spots for them . Could mean even more competitive to get in . I’ve 4 A’s and a B . Hope it’s enough .

I agree. Is this confirmed?
