    BMCC Fall 2020

A little bit off-topic here but did you all had to be health science majors prior to applying for the program? Or was being a liberal arts major (that is if you are) accepted by the nursing department? Best of luck to everyone as you await your results! Hang tight.

    BMCC Fall 2020

Dear JDMNYC, Great job on attaining those excellent scores. I am also interested in applying for the evening program and I have a few questions regarding your correspondence with the advisor. 1. Do you know if those 300 applicants are for both day and evening students? 2. Is the letter of recommendation a new requirement for evening applicants? Is it to verify that the applicant is a full-time day employee? 3. Is there anything that you can share about being an evening applicant? I just feel that most conversations and experiences I find are for the day applicants. Not so many resources for evening applicants... Thank you and all the best to you.

    BMCC Fall 2020

Hello Everyone. What general classes would you recommend taking for BSN transfer while taking prerequisites? Next semester I will be taking my last two prerequisites for entry into the evening program, but I want to take two more classes to be full-time. So far, I have received credit for statistics. What other courses besides nutrition and developmental psychology can I take that I can transfer into a BSN, provided I get into BMCC's program? Best of luck to every one of you.

Hello Everyone. Do you know the estimated range of GPA that gets into BMCC day/evening programs?

Thank you! You both have given me very valuable advice and I will definitely take the accelerated BSN into consideration.
  7. Hello Everyone. I am graduating this fall with a 4 year degree but I am also applying to an evening ADN program in Spring 2020 to join the nursing field. At the moment, however, I have years of only non-healthcare experience. Lately, I have been finding some interest in the CNA program due to its duration and affordability and I was wondering if this path is something I should consider for the time being to develop nursing skills through working. Is there any other program that can be recommended to pursue while in the nursing program? Mainly, I want to improve my skill-set and also be able to somewhat support myself during nursing school.

    BMCC 2020

Hello. I am graduating from Queens College next semester so I will have a 4 year degree but I am also applying to BMCC for spring 2020 to get into their evening nursing program. Currently, I have taken A&P1 at Queensborough CC using an e-permit and next semester, I will do the same for A&P 2 since I want both classes to be taken at the same college. Some classes, such as Psychology, Sociology & English that I have taken at Queens College will fulfill the requirements for the other courses. Has anyone ever had any issues with getting into the BMCC nursing program with per-requisites taken at other CUNY schools?

Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2020

Hello everyone. I have decided to take A&P 1, and some other pre-requisites that I am missing over the summer and fall semester. However, I want to submit my application by July. Let's say I get accepted into the program, will my credits be transferred when I complete them all by fall or will the credits only from the classes I have taken that are listed on my transcript (which is submitted with the application) be evaluated?

Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2020

Thank you both. This is really helpful information. Do you know how competitive this program is or what the applicant pool is and how many applicants get accepted for the Spring? I am considering applying to just Montefiore but do you know of any other schools that offer an RN evening/weekend program? Thank you all!

Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2020

Hello, future nurses. I am planning on applying for the evening/weekend program in Spring 2020. Currently, I am wrapping up my Bachelors Degree in Economics and I have some credits that are transferrable to this program. However, I have not taken A&P 1. How will this affect my application if I choose not to take it? Any other tips and bits of advice would be greatly appreciated.
