Biomedical Statistics National University

Published

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if anybody has taken or planning to take the Biomedical Statistics course at National University (NSG 322)?

I am planning to take the class online, but am a little nervous on how easy/hard it will be to do via computer. I'm fine when it comes to taking classes that are straightforward conceptual where you pretty much just read and memorize.

Any advice will be helpful :o)

Thanks!

I am currently enrolled in the online Bio Stats class at National.... I am having a very difficult time!!! I have been trying to find a tutor, private or through the school, no luck yet.... Can any of you recommend any help?? I would Really appreciaite it!!!!

Thanks!! :)

I'm not taking the class yet, but have you tried contacting the professor? How about other students taking the class with you. I know its an online course, however, do you have access to the other students email?

I took the class in June and it was hard! :uhoh3: I wish I had taken it on campus. The professor I had had never taught an online class before which made things interesting but it worked out ok. He scheduled us for live chats 3 times a week (not required but recommended) where he would go over the homework with us and any questions we had. I can't say that I now know how to do bio med statistics but I got through the class and I am happy with the grade I got.

For Sky84, I am not sure where you're at, I'm in San Diego and my enrollment counselor told me that there are 2 math tutors available down here. If you're not down here I would recommend talking to your enrollment adviser and see if they have one there or if there is someone they can recommend.

Good luck! :)

I've taken stats in college before In college. Does anyone now if it has to be bio med stats specifically now?

Specializes in ER psych.

Yes it does have to be biomed stats through NatU. Why you ask? Just like some of the other schools, I think they added this class to stem the tide of new applicants and weed some out. Plus it's an $1800 class. BUT, you cannot apply to the nursing program UNTIL you complete this class. But if you don't get accepted, why take the class to start with? Catch 22? I say YES.

It's not 1800, its more like 1300.
