I just wanted to see if there are any fellow classmates outthere wanting a way of communication outside of the virtual classroom. Sincethe course is online and we don't really get to discuss events like in atraditional class room why not the next best thing?! As with my other classesthat have started threads it is nice to know at times I am not the only one lost in the sauce.
Hey I took this class last semester, and towards the end they told us that we get a specific percent from MTI. And that grade will be multiplied by 4% to count as participation.
My point being, don't just do the MTI for the sake of doing them, u have to get good grades on the activities.
I had to go back & redo a bunch of activities it sucked!

How did this class go? I still have to take it!
I think todays test (3rd) was the hardest for me. I still made a good grade, but not as high as my other two test grades. I don't deal with eyes and ears much in my work so I really didn't know the material. I spent most of my study time on the eyes and ears, and those were the questions I missed the most on the test.
I have been completing all my MTI. I noticed for the first unit the MTI took me forever, but now it is really fast. If I fail one of the MTI's I retake it, but I am not trying to get 100's on everything. It is only 4% of my grade. I think my time is better spent studing for the test. I do think the ER MTI is really helpful for studing for the test. If I get a question wrong on the ER, I look it up and make sure I know it.
Made it through the class fine with easy A. I will say that when I overlapped this class with Holistic Care of Older Adults that I did get stressed out more than I wanted to. Both classes are not that difficult, but if you are working full time and have a family, things start to pile up, at least for me (a lot of reading). I'm starting on Health Promotion Across the Lifespan on 4/8. The journey continues! See you elswhere TxMonci!
I don't think it is possible to not have the text book. I didn't really read the test book, but I needed it to study the prefixes, roots, and suffixes for the test. You can take the quizzes and MTIs ahead of time, but not the actual exam. I think it would be best to take the quizzes a few days before the test and not way ahead of time. The quizzes help you prepare for the test.

Monci - did you know that the flashcards are optional? I skip them and it saves time. Tests aren't bad at all, think I was overstudying! Two more tests!!!
