Binghamton BAT Program 2018-2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi there! Has anyone else applied to this program and is waiting to hear back? I would love to hear about people's past experiences as well as get to know someone on the same page as me! I submitted my application in mid September and am wondering when we might hear back? I heard it was early last year!

Hey guys! I heard back today, and that the program seats were filled. Going to Stony Brook for health sciences :)

Hello all, just wanted to know if anyone who’s finishing up their program at Binghamton in an apartment that they’ll be moving out of soon. I just got accepted and I have no clue where to begin looking for apartments in the area. Anyone with a great (and not too pricey) apt to recommend?

Yeah! I can help with apartments. Send me an email - [email protected]

Hey everyone, I recently completed my application to Binghamton’s BAT Program and was wondering how those of you who graduated from the program felt about it. How was the workload? And the faculty? And the program overall so far? Also, did you feel prepared for the NCLEX after completing the program? Thanks in advance!

I was wondering about this as well. Hopefully someone answers us.

Hi! I graduated from the BAT program in 2017. I can answer any questions you might have about it. It’s an excellent program, professors are wonderful. It’s definitely intense; be prepared to work hard, but it’s definitely doable. We had very high passing rates for the NCLEX. I studied about a month or so for it and passed in 75 questions. Let me know if you have more questions!

The only prerequisite I would have in progress is Microbiology. Are you allowed to have courses in progress when you apply?

Do you mind sharing the grades you got on the prereqs

Can you share what grades you got on the prerequisites? Am I allowed to have Microbiology in progress? Also, are the dorming options for students in this program

Will you be done with Microbiology before the program starts? I believe it’s required that they are all completed but you could still be in progress now. I had mostly As in the prerequisites, maybe a B in gen chem. And yes, there were dorming options when I went there. It’s probably cheaper to dorm off campus, but it’s much easier and convenient to live on campus, especially if you don’t have a car which I did not

it'll be done before the program starts but not before the deadline

That’s okay but it might affect your application. I had a class outstanding and was waitlisted. I ended up coming off of it, but that was a factor
