Hi!! I also applied through nursingcas, which took about a month for everything to finalize. After accidentally sending my transcripts to the college itself, I resent them to nursingcas and one of the transcripts sent through their online platform was not received after two and a half weeks. So I called the customer rep and he was extremely helpful in finding it and having it verified to my application that same day. I also have been emailing one of the admission directors just to confirm that they received all my info and he helped with smoothing the application process. I am unofficially accepted though!! Fortunately, my LPN school is affiliated with the college and depending on course grades, I was able to bypass the TEAS...so I am not sure how that works exactly. All I know is that it's important to study for them!! Now I am just finalizing all my health forms, background check etc, and waiting to hear back about the schedule for pre-reqs. It's been a long process, so I suggest emailing admissions just to follow up with them, but all in all its been about two months or so to get where I am now.

Thank you everyone for all the great info!! I started the application process for Helene. The NursingCAS system they're using doesn't offer an app for the LPN-RN program, it only has the RN-BSN app. Anyone else experience this? I did reach out to Mrs. Pineda this afternoon so I am awaiting her reply. I also have found it difficult to get in touch but that makes sense from all the changes. Thankfully, allnurses exist to get my questions answered ?. Has anyone challenged the Math course or the Clinical Skills course? I am thinking about challenging the math.. but we shall see.

Hi there! I am currently an LPN student and am about to graduate in a few weeks! I am absolutely continuing for my RN and am very interested in going to Helen Fuld, as they are affiliated with my current program. Does anyone know if the college will remain online indefinitely through the rest of 2020 and possibly 2021? That's most likely a premature question being that all future plans are "wait and see". I also wanted to know how current students are doing in the program, or if they are enjoying it. I've had a rough experience in the past with an RN program that was partly due to my own mistakes (I was way too young and did not know how to properly study or critically think for that matter! ?) and partly due to frustrations within the education itself. I will also say that I have been doing very well in my current LPN program with transcript grades all above 90s, and I worry that it will be a huge ego-crusher if I start getting high 70's on all the tests. If anyone wouldn't mind shedding some light on how you are managing in this program, or in the same boat as I am, that would be great to share information. ? Thank you!

I am an LPN student in NYS, about 30 minutes from the city. I attend a BOCES program which has been closed for two weeks starting 3/15. We have been doing distance learning and virtual clinical simulation, to count as hours for the board. All of us are worried about graduation, which is in June, as well as preparing for the NCLEX. I am completely with you! Disappointed that we are not getting the clinical hours and class time. Is anyone else in the same boat? Unsure what the plan is but hoping for the best? I hope that at least in NYS they count all of our course work to qualify hours for the exam. I honestly believe that after a few weeks, they should allow nursing students to volunteer hours in hospitals and clinics which could count towards clinical time. Not only would it be beneficial in terms of hands-on learning but also help nurses and other health care members who are exhausted. Our program director and instructors are providing as much information as they can. None of us can predict the future but it would be interesting to get other nursing student's or professional's opinions in this regard.

Thank you! And best of luck! As for the interview - be extra early, call the day before to confirm, and just be yourself! I think confidence is key and if you’re confident for the exam, the interview will be a breeze as long as your honest and consistent with what your school records say, and what your questionnaire form says (they will have you fill out prior to the interview, after passing the exam.) You got this! Keep me updated! It would be nice to go into the program knowing some people!

Trust me I understand. I was praying midway through exam and even wrote down Jeremiah 29:11 on the scrap paper they provide (not the whole verse, just that, to remind me that God has a plan). The exam is only only only the Reading Comprehension (20 or so questions I believe I can’t remember exactly) and Arithmetic for math (about 20 questions as well). It is very similar to the example questions and not complex. I know I have a hard time taking my own advise like this but try not to overthink it. You got this! And God has a plan.

Thank you so much! I am happy I made it past this part, however, there is more to go with the paperwork and interview. The math, for me, was not that difficult. I scored much better on the math than I did the reading comp. I did take a College Algebra course about a year ago so that was very helpful. Pmen, who commented earlier in this thread said it best, its mostly fractions, decimals, percentages, multiplication, division, etc. There is a calculator for some questions, which I actually forgot about halfway through lol. But all of the problems can be done by hand. I've been practicing math questions without a calculator, which again, I suggest. Have you been practicing on the sample questions? It is basically the same.

Hi Churchgirl!! It went well! I passed! I was definitely nervous and took so long to get through the reading comp. I had to keep reminding myself to focus and stay confident. I suggest to continue practice questions, time yourself and assess what your strengths and weaknesses are so that you can feel prepared. Phase 2 is now handing in my paperwork and waiting to be scheduled for an interview. Thank you for your support and for reaching out! I know you can do it. It is very simple I think, as long as you study and practice ?
