For those who have applied for the Fall 2007 semester - has anybody gotten a date for an interview yet?

Thanks

Well, both schools are great schools, Nassau was my Alma Matter, and I have nothing but great things too say about that school, BI is my only choice. However only you will know whats best for you, take all the important factors that you need for yourself too be sucessful in nursing school, meaning commuting time, if you need too work which school will work with a schedule, will you have time too study...those kind of questions and apply it too both institutions and maybe that can give you some direction on what school too pick.

Good luck

I emailed over and I got in!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH :)

great glad to hear it

I got in as well!!!

Yay, congrats! I hope everyone else hears today. On my day there was a hiccup in my yahoo mail and the email they sent at 10am didn't show up in my inbox until 5pm. I was a wreck!

I am going to clep intro to psych, and take developmental psych in july from the suny online learning network (through Herkimer). Mystiqx, where was your dev. psych from? I like that the suny classes are cheaper than BMCC (if you make sure to take a class from one of the comm. colleges not the big 4yr places) and they didn't hassle me for not having the psych 101 pre req.

Nassau made me take child devlp psych. so i need to take devlp psych again since mine was not lifespan. I as well need to take ethics. How do you know what subjects you can clep or not?

Hey molly I took that same class this past spring at Herkimer (dev psych) with prof W.P. (not sure if you are allowed to put names on allnurses) anyway its a pretty easy class to get through. Im also taking intro to soc and nutrition on SLN, soc with Herkimer and nutrition with schenetady. I already have intro to psych from when I attended Nassau like damn near 10 yrs ago (jeez i can't believe its been that long)

Congrats too everyone who got their confirmation!!!

Email ms pass stern, tell her the class you want too take, where you are taking it and copy paste the course discription if you can. I did that with every class I took online, she is very good about responding promptly about weather you can take it or not. I took ethics with my uni program, and she said it transfered over. If you haven't looked at SLN yet check it out they have just about everything on there.

oh and make sure too ask her before you CLEP the subjects.

Yup, WP is my prof as well! maybe I'll get some tips from you!

My interviewer suggested I clep intro to psych so I know that one is okay. They probably accept intro to sociology as well (but of course double check). Pace doesn't accept english comp so PBISON may not either (since the academics are linked) but you could ask. I think those are the only 3 available since there are no nutrition/ethics/A&P etc. cleps available. Pace has a list on their website (under adult ed. - just search "clep") of the classes you can clep and the minimum scores you need.

Since my earlier philosophy class won't count I am just going to take the nutrition, pharm and ethics classes at pbison. My interviewer said that would be fine even if I do atop.

I have pharm and micro left, i was going too take micro at city tech, but I really can't afford it right now and the thought of taking that class over 4 weeks terrifies me.
