Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????
oh i didnt check my email.. this is what they said.." please advise her that the committee met yesterday but, since there were 68 on the agenda, we only got up to the candidates whose last names ended in "g". we will reconvene tomorrow and have a 3rd meeting on thursday 5/21. she may be presented at tomorrow's meeting or next week. ask her to check back on thursday of this week to see how far the committee has progressed. "
wow, thanks for posting this nurserica. my last name starts with a c, which means they propably reviewed my files already. was this sent to you by ** *****?
Congrats bp2244:yeah::yeah:! I'm so happy for you. Like Triple A said, all nursing schools are really competitive now, so it's really great that you were called.
Thanks Nurserica for posting that info....
Triple A, my name also starts with C, I'm going to call tomorrow. This is going to be a long night.
To Jennyy329, if you get accepted to BI, of course it's your decision, but I say go for it. At the open house they said after you graduate from BI you can get your BSN at Pace in one year with their accelerated program. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
Thanks guys. I really appreciate the encouragement.
tripleA - they called me this morning and said they would like me to come in for an interview. The guy said that they are only at the beginning of the interview process. I didn't schedule it yet because I live in Chicago. I also wanted to see if I could get it at the same time as a BI interview (if that happens). I was going to wait until the end of this week to hear from BI. You'll definitely get an interview. How did you do on the TEAS test?
Honeycutts, you are too funny . After talking with ** ***** I felt somewhat relieved, eventhough I haven't been called for an interview yet, I feel hopeful. Especially since she asked about my flexibility.
Ripley28, I already suffer from sleep apnea, so waiting until tomorrow is going to be a killer . Not to mention the fact that I called Ms. Gallo, like every hour on the hour today, she is either a saint or a mother.
bp2244 I scored 70% I believe, but the school misplaced my records, so it maybe awhile before I hear anything from them.
NurseRica, I am waiting to be interviewed. From what I was told last week, the committee meeting is to decide on past interviewees and to call applicants who have not been called.....so we'll see.
tripleA - that is so weird. I scored an 80%. Don't you find it strange that we both scored significantly lower on the TEAS (which everyone says is much easier)? But then again maybe I just answered my inquiry. Maybe we scored lower because it is easier and therefore more people do better.
honeycutts - you are hilarious. I completely agree. I know I ask that a lot. LOL. It's because I am into patterns and I have a list with everyones info. Also, I am moving to Brooklyn. So, woo hoo Brooklyn. Do you live there as well?

Congratulations bp2244
!!!!!
That is great news, you have every right to be excited, all nursing schools no matter the reputation is very hard to get into and essentially, the program will be what you make it.
When is your interview? and how were you contacted? I am curious, because I applied to LICHSON as well.
