You are a great person to think of your employees. WE have many fewer and ours does nothing....the night shift forgot what she looks like...lol. The only time we see her is during her mandatory staff meetings

BRAVO to you for caring

I like the paper sack idea...gives em something to take home. You can FILL These from your local dollar store pretty reasonably, you know. Good luck!

Sizzors, forcepts, lanyard, pens, calipers, pen light, anything to eat, coupons for a pizza, MD's, wendy's.

Best CNM I ever had got a fruit basket for each shift, brought in drinks and cookies and stayed to chat a few minutes with us. She was always there to pitch in when it was hectic, gave us positive strokes when we needed them, kept unit clean and orderly, each shift had a duty and each person had it posted when to do it. if we were too busy on our day we just traded.

HN/CNM today are too busy keeping the budget in line for their bonus to think of us. I detested my last HN, she is still there, going thru as many as 5 to 10 nurses a year. Wonder when the administration will get the hint it is her, not the nurses.

I really want to get my employees something they like......I own our agency and I think it is only "right" to show them that they are my angels.....That without them, I have no business......I am constantly trying to create fields of nursing for them to "run" so that they can have an area that allows them to "fly". They create the ideas, I research and apply for all the licenses and such.... I really have a GREAT group!!!!

We are just a group of nurses that can sit around, have a drink (or not) joke around and have fun.....They are incredibly brilliant! I love them all!

A holiday (non-religious) card with a personal note for each employee would be great. Then ... buy two coffeemakers -- one to keep filled with hot water for tea/hot chocolate drinkers & one for coffee. You can buy them at Walmart for under $20 each & make a gift basket with coffees, teas, hot chocolate, coffee filters -- for each shift.

PLEASE PLEASE

make sure whatever you do, the day shift and night shift get equal billing...IF you DO a FOOD TRAY, bring one in as night shift starts...or else trust me, nothing will be left..or it will have been picked thru by germy hands. THAT is one way to show respect for ALL employees..one that is overlooked so often, esp where I work.

Copy the aove down in a card(flyer type) and give this with whatever you decide to. The words you expressed are heartfelt and they will not forget your sincerity! How cool you are!

Can we clone you and take you to work with us? Pretty Please?

The best gift my manager could give me, honestly, is to resign.

Mine is NOT a fun place to work..due to her poor leadership.
