i recommend D. PGH

it's a 6 months training program, you'll spend 10k. The money spent is worth it because you will encounter various cases and procedures which i haven't handled much during my college days. you will definitely learned a lot after 6 month training.

you'll be rotated in different areas 3 months on wards and 3 months on special area of your choice. Good luck! choose wisely!=)

PGH! ^_^

good day! I'll be starting my training this feb. 14 for the 30th APCN. can you please give me some tips regarding the said training? thanks a lot!

Uhm..i think there's a thread in this forum that discusses that matter..just try to look around.

I'm sorry I'm no help, I have no idea about it. Good luck, though^_^

APCN... but they do have a different application process if you want to be hired as a staff at PGH

Go with your hospital of choice, because that training will help you (somehow) to get in. And the training will help you tremendously to adapt to the workplace of where you plan to work in.

But if u just want to train for the sake of training. I guess PGH coz it's 6 months. I don't think heart center has a basic skills training program. Correct me if I am wrong.

yes as far as I remember, there's no Basic Skill Training in Philippine Heart Center..

Yep, coz, in Philippine Heart Center, they are only offering specialized training. Such as, Critical Care Nursing and CardioVascular Nursing.... no Basic Skills training at all

Hi to all. I would like to know if PGH is still accepting training programs. I'm still here in Brunei and will be back in the Philippines this April. I've heard that they have several requirements (like other hospitals) before you can undergo their Basic Training Skills. Kindly give me details for the following:

Training Program:

Thank you very much in advance to those who can provide me info. God bless

PGH-APCN:

Step ONE:

APCN Dean's form - this form is ONLY distributed on a specified DATE AND TIME, limited to 200+ forms only. This year the forms was released around April and October. Better call the DNET office before April 2011 and ask them on when are they going to release the APCN Dean's forms.

Step TWO: pass the requirements

1.) Accomplished APCN dean's form

2.) Letter of Intent addressed to the Deputy Director for Nursing (sorry can't post names)

3.) Photocopy of Transcript of Records

4.) Original or certified true copy of Board Ratings

5.) Authenticated photocopy of PRC License

6.) Photocopy of PNA membership card

Step THREE: qualifying exams (PHP150 exam fee)

They'll only get 50 from the 200+ applicants.

Basis for qualification = Qualifying Exam + Board Rating + RLE grade + GWA

Training fee: PHP10,000

Training duration: 6 months
