I swear, since I have began school, I have purchased, dansko clogs, nursemates shoes, SAS shoes and none of them worked. I have somewhat flat feet, but experience the worst swelling post clinicals. I now swear by the walmart brand tennis shoes, they are leather/man made upper and a little flat. These shoes and these alone are the only ones that don't kill my feet!
Compression socks.
I will be buying a lot of those then.
I get some nasty pitting edema. My vessels just don't hold onto the fluid like they should. It's relieved after sitting with my legs elevated. If I'm sitting at my desk, table, couch, etc- they continue to swell until I can't bend my ankles. This SUCKS b/c I love to wear sandals. When the swelling was really bad, I'd have to stick to tennis shoes or crocs. I wore crocs almost my entire pregnancy. Two reasons- It was about all I could squeeze my fred flinstone feet into by the end, and especially at the end I didn't have to try and reach to tie anything. I could just slip them on. LOL

I trust you have consulted with your doctor about this?

Hello everyone!!
I have noticed that when I'm on my feet for a while, or when I do a lot of running around during the day my ankles and feet become swollen quickly. Does anyone know what shoe or sneaker for nursing school will help me with that problem?
Thanks everyone!!
