Best Places to Buy/Rent Student Books

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am not too sure if there is a post about this already but I am about to enter my first semester in Nursing School, and I know school is so expensive. I thought that we could start a post about books to buy/rent or alternate options. One of my favorite places to get my books in from Amazon. I was wondering if there are other great sites that is out there for us students.

Chegg.com and Amazon

I've lucked up at Goodwill Stores, especially near colleges and universities, as well as, online GoodwillBooks.com. I also use Half.com & CampusBookRental.com.

I generally search Google with the ISBN and find the best price after comparing several sites. I try to save the money where I can!

Amazon, for sure. Directtext.com lists books and prices from all over.

Specializes in MedSurg, Tele, ER, ICU, Float.

I was able to find my fundamentals text at the public library. I'll just have to keep extending the reservation to get through the semester. Even so, Thanks to that and a combination of the websites above. I brought my original price of $700+ down to less than $140!!! All the exact, up to date books i need for class and clinical. Thank you all.
