I so hate to say this but that sounds a lot like Adelaide, the capital of South Australia - it can get a little warm, but the weather's mostly warm, housing's more reasonable than the Big Two capital cities (Melbourne and Sydney), the city has something of a small town vibe (friendly, clean, safe), picturesque, with many eateries (and as many churches and bank vaults as the most discrimating person could desire!). It's only an hour's flight to Melbourne, or two to Sydney.
Well, if Adelaide or Melbourne had been mentioned, I'll give ya that Adelaide would possibly fit some of the criteria but not all. How hot it gets was not in the criteria, just as well if you are thinking about Adelaide and they have escaped the floods and bushfires this year so far, don't know about the great shopping though....and the small hills, ...don't get me wrong I like Adelaide, but still does not totally fit the criteria, also not sure about the peaceful situation, when I was last there, Port Adelaide and Adelaide had just finished a football game and nobody looked very peaceful,.....also Adelaide and Melbourne were not mentioned as places of interest.....oh well, they're loss, back to work, :chuckle :onbch:

hey! the shopping is great! .... both big and small hills too! .... and as for those footy ferals ... but you can't judge a city on it's sporting prowess! :chuckle
besides, as far as peaceful goes, the government's just outlawed bikie gangs! so, you'll have to leave yer bike at home! :chuckle
Hello
From my house it is a 20 minute drive to the Gold Coast Hospital. A very busy ED. I've worked there in the past. There is also Robina ED. Most specialities are at the Gold Coast Hospital.
In South Brisbane there are two major hospitals with EDs. The Princess Alexander ( PA ) is a huge hospital. Very busy ED. About 50 - 60 minutes drive.
Also in south Brisbane and a little closer to the Gold Coast is Logan Hospital. 45 minutes drive.
With regard to the other criteria. Plenty of hills and countryside, for specialist fashion shops the Gold Coast and Brisbane centre have a large range.
Lots of outdoor activities and nice weather to be outside.
Lastly, pets. We have two dogs, a cat and three fish.
I also like Melbourne. Great restaurants, vibrant city but can be cold.
All the best
rob
Thank you so much Rob!
Another question if you don't mind....
In busy ED, do nurses have their ACLS, TNCC, ? Is the courses givin by the hospital?
What is the postgraduate course in emergency givin by univ?(1 year ) Is it mandatory to work in ED?
When you start in ED, do you have an orientation in all area or you have to work 1 years in sub-acute care then acute care and then minor care-triage?
Thank you in advance... and I'm almost 100% sure I will stop my choice at PA hospital for the end of the years! :)

Hi! I'm planning to move in australia at the end of the years
but haven't decided were to settle down...between Perth, Sydney or Brisbane
If anyone could help me...I have a few criteria :
-great weather (not to wet, cold or windy.)
-affordable housing (I guess I have to forget Sydney on that point!)
-great places to run with small hills
-clean and peacefully place
-great food, great shopping
-close places to do outdoors activities
-pet friendly
I'm moving alone so I think that the housing would be the most important thing for me...
Think you so much in advance!
Can't wait to move!
