Imthatguy is right. ER/ICU/CCU is where I've seen most males nurses in the hospital setting. I'm a new grad RN and know that my long term role will also be in the ICU/CCU. Many male nurses also go on to become professors and hold leadership roles.
As do many female nurses. What is your point?
What does gender have to do with it? Nurses (male or female) should work wherever they so desire.
Gender has nothing to do with it. This is true in most professions. However, since guys by default have different personalities than women their choices (and thinking patterns) are often different. In this case I'm just asking for personal opinion versus the politically correct answer. No pun intended here.

Absolutely! Women obviously hold all of the positions I suggested as well! Well, my point is that the original post was "Just out of curiousity, for those who are guys, or have friends in nursing that are males what are the most ideal positions (or those guys enjoy most) for male nurses...thoughts, ideas, experiences.."
I was sharing my "thoughts, ideas, experiences" Do you have anything to contribute?
