Going to graduate soon from an ADN program in Ohio and I was wondering what areas of the country are hiring new grads? I been a long time viewer of allnurses but I never registered. I have seen post about rural Texas on the border with Mexico, but not so sure I would want to live there because of the drug violence. Then I heard North Dakota, but I won't pay $3000 for a 3 bedroom rental if I'm lucky enough to even get one. I heard rural areas might be a place to look but I live in rural Ohio and the area is saturated with nursing schools. Any other suggestions? I'm willing to move anywhere including Alaska or overseas (besides warzones).

I got my first job in Tulsa, OK. Nice place to live, and relatively inexpensive. Starting pay around $20/hr.
