Hey can anyone post your best airforce base you have been station at so far??????????????????????????

I went to UH then graduated from HPU. I work at CHW in the ICU. What about you? Where do you work and which dept?

Isn't Travis AFB near the Bay Area? How do the servicemembers afford to live out there? I sthere affordable housing nearby or only on base?

There is affordable housing and there is also base housing.

I actually just graduated a couple weeks ago,. So now I am studying for Boards. I would really really love to work in the NICU, but it's difficult because it seems all they really want now is experienced nurses... I'm trying to find a position either in John Muir Walnut Creek or Children's Oakland.

By the way, your first enstence is so funny. UH, HPU, CHW, ICU. Lol!

And yes, dreamon, it is pretty expensive out here, but there are somewhat affordable homes. I think sometimes if this is all you know, then the cost of living isn't as ridiculous as what someone from, say, North Dakota may think. Lol. (I was once stationed out there, and my two bedroom roof top apartment was $275/month!)

Saying which is the best Air Force Base is like saying what is the best place to live. People and jobs always change. Do you like 4 seasons or 2? Conus or other? What do you like to do for fun? Do you like big city or rural?

I have enjoyed all the bases, they all have something great to offer.
