Last Thursday I was at the college for the purpose of collecting my Chemistry grade with some classmates. Apparently, there was a graduation ceremony for RN's going on that night as well, and my friends started talking to one student to ask her about the program. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but one of my cohorts told me the student had stated that ELEVEN people had failed out of NUR-181 alone during her course!
Now, there's always a chance there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscommunication, but does this sound right? For what it's worth, I would think the application process and competitiveness of getting in to the program would assure a strong student population, so it makes me nervous to hear these things. I already received some insight from someone privately, but I was wondering what the public population made of this info.
Thanks!
Hi Guys,
Congrats to all that got it. Job well done. I however did not get in. I got a 91 on my HESI and i have a 3.64. I was wondering if anyone else with scores like these did not get in. I got a letter which did not specify if i was rejected but said somthing along the lines of you do not meet the requirments and should talk to academic consuelling to explore other options. Anyone else recieve such a letter?
Peace, Mike.

Mike...i can't find the post I made a couple years ago, but i too received a similar letter. my issue involved a class or two not meeting the requirements. i have a bachelors from another college so there was a lot of back and forth but it end up working out for me. My counselor played a huge part in the resolution.
Good Luck !
Hi Daddy0-They had put a certain amount of nursing transfer students on a waiting list because current students had gotten accepted and filled a lot of the nursing classes.. & told us that if spots were available only few transfer students who were at the top of the list would get in.. I actually got into the nursing program and started this morning because I was one who was at the top of the waiting list! Thank God! lol! I was also wondering if it is possible to trasfer nursing credits to Bergen's nursing program to atleast finish up my associate's degree because I already have 40 general credits from Bergen & the BSN is going to take another 3 years.. Any advise? Thanks! :)
u are a transfer student from another nursing program? do they take ur nursing courses with clinical? I need help, I wanna transfer to BCC, I already completed most of the nursing courses from a 4 year college, only need 4 more courses from BCC to became a RN.

Like ASP says, you can't transfer Nursing classes....the Pre-reqs yes. My apologies for not being clear, but I have a bachelors in Business and changed careers.

@Eileen I'd go first thing in the am on Monday morning. It could be a mix up. Don't lose hope!
