Last Thursday I was at the college for the purpose of collecting my Chemistry grade with some classmates. Apparently, there was a graduation ceremony for RN's going on that night as well, and my friends started talking to one student to ask her about the program. I didn't hear the entire conversation, but one of my cohorts told me the student had stated that ELEVEN people had failed out of NUR-181 alone during her course!
Now, there's always a chance there was some sort of misunderstanding or miscommunication, but does this sound right? For what it's worth, I would think the application process and competitiveness of getting in to the program would assure a strong student population, so it makes me nervous to hear these things. I already received some insight from someone privately, but I was wondering what the public population made of this info.
Thanks!
hey im new to this site. I just took my hesi exam & over all i did pretty well. I wanted to know when will they let us know when they will reply to everyone if they got in or not & what could be the cut off score.Thank you!
Hey..I heard the tell everyone at the end of May of beginning of June. Did you get to use scrap paper or a computer calculator for Math? Also, what'd you think of the sciences? GOOD LUCK!
Thank you..there was scrap paper given for math & on both biology and chem I got a 92. To me they were simple and things you shouldn't over think.example would be what is the center of an atom or the cellular membrane is made of what? to me vocab was pretty tough but not impossible. Good luck to you!
Good luck!! I take my hesi Tuesday. How was it?
Thanks I need it!!! :) luck hasn't been on my side for some time now.. but can't complain. The exam was fair. If you study the HESI admission assessment review book that will probably guarantee you a 60-70%. If I were you, I'd review other nursing entrance review books, there's also websites that gives practice questions. If you still have your textbooks/notes from bio and chemistry review them. The reading, vocabulary, grammar & math was not bad. TAKE YOUR TIME on the bio and chemistry. Good luck!!!
Thanks so much!! Do they give you a periodic table for chemistry or do the problems they give you not require you to need one?

I took my Chem at OCC and it I had an excellent Prof. She is a nurse and understood how we all are trying our hardest. She is very flexible, and BCC did take my credits. Her name is Maria Tamborri if anyone is interested. I think if you are comfortable with math and have a good Prof you will do fine. You will do fine, relax and just get it done. What I did was procrastinate for algebra [remedial] which slowed my path of gettiing into any nursing program. Best of luck!
