Bergen Community College Nursing Evening 2015

Hey everyone, I know its early but I was just wondering who was going to apply for the 2015 Evening Nursing program. I have attempted to apply for the 2014 day program but was denied due to the fact that my "Chemistry" prerequisite class was unacceptable. Anyways, I was hoping we could all help each other out when the time comes.

Should definitely verify with the nursing dept. though, just to be on the safe side..

I don't think so, the 20th is just next week.. Holy name was pretty quick on sending me the certification card (like 2-3 days) so that wasn't a problem. But I remember reading that they know it takes "a few weeks" to get your card so TEMPORARILY they will accept a letter from the instructor saying you passed until you show them your card.. I'm pretty sure that's correct. Everything's due Jan 5, btw

Ok great. Yes, I know that, but I'm assuming the college closes after Friday of next week until January 5th. I'm going to find out for sure. Thanks for all your help :)

Hi all! So I'm on the American heart website. How do I know when a CPR class is BLS? There are so many options :/

Also, I was talking to the school nurse at the school I work at. She said they do not give TDap vaccinations to adults. She said tetorifice shot instead? But on our student packet it said TD is not in compliance. Anyone run into this issue?

I think someone asked this previously... But anyone know what's in the nursing kit/skills kit?

I don't know about that.. I took the packet to my physician and she gave me a whole bunch of shots. She signed the paper, I gave it to the nurse at hs101, she looked it over up make sure everything and I mean EVERYTHING was there and it was all good.. So j guess you can give a TDap to an adult...

I just got off the phone with the secretary of the Dean of nursing at bergen. She said they do in fact give tdaps to adults. My school nurse is still saying no and showed me paperwork from the state. I'm just going to call my doctor. Thanks again!

That's the best thing, just call your doctor and take them the papers so they can do it for you..

Anyone know if we need scrubs right away or not till clinicals?
