Bergen Community College Evening Program Spring 2016

Published

Hey guys! So I'm applying to the BCC evening nursing program that starts in spring 2016. Is there anyone else out there who is applying with me? I'm going crazy with anticipation for the applications to open lol. I just want to get started already!!

It is not something new. A&P are pre-requisites for evening program. Therefore, if you passed A&P, it is understood that you have a basic understanding/knowledge base. My advice, do the reading portion first. It is not difficult but don't underestimate it either. This section will take a chunk of your time. Grammar/vocabulary/forgot the other section lol. These are all 55 questions each. I suggest you get that done first. Don't rush through the sentences. Might not catch the mistake if you do. Math is percentages, ratio, division, multiplication etc. there is a drop down calculator. Chem and bio are only 35 question. You either know it or you don't. This wont take you as much time as the reading portion. Passing the HESI entrance is the easiest part of nursing. You will also have to take the hesi at the end of level one and level two. It count for 20% of your final grade.

Good luck to all of you.

See I would agree with you, but at BCC Chemistry is also a prerequisite that you have to pass before you are granted admission, so that's why we were all a little confused I guess. But thanks so much for all this info on the Hesi!!

If you look at the curriculums for the day program, you will notice that A&P one is incorporated into the first semester along with pharmacology, physical assessment and nursing concepts, not as a pre-requisite, unless you apply for the eve program. A&P 2 is incorporated into the second semester for the day program. Thats is also why hesi for Bergen does not test you on A&P.

Hey I haven't received my email yet. Am i the ony one and Should I be worried???

It's a silly question, but have you checked your spam folder? I feel like no matter what, you should ahve received an email....

Mine was in my junk folder...

Hey Guys! Just got permission to register for the exam. When do you guys plan on taking the Hesi?

I am not even sure when, I was hoping to register like last minute to give me the most time possible to study. The last day to register is November 5th, correct?

I wouldn't wait until last minute only because I registered the other day and there were not a lot of options to choose from. Only a few available days are left along with time slots. Now I have to drive about 40 mins away to take it. Good luck though!

Does anyone know how to find out the class average score for the Hesi?

Does anyone know how to find out the class average score for the Hesi?

yeah you need to go to your evolve and on the page with your score there is a plus sign next to it. Press that and you can see all the sections you took. From there open each one and you should see at the top class average next to your grade. Calculate all 6 grades and divide by 6. Or that's what I was told, lol.
