Bergen Community College Evening Program Spring 2016

Published

Hey guys! So I'm applying to the BCC evening nursing program that starts in spring 2016. Is there anyone else out there who is applying with me? I'm going crazy with anticipation for the applications to open lol. I just want to get started already!!

Hey Everyone!

Just took my exam and scored a 84!

Good Luck!!!!!

i got an 83.3!! i hope our scores are good enough... are you in or out of county?! im in county so i am hoping my chances are greater... As for my GPA goes it is currently at a 3.12 ... not the best but i am doing exceptionally well this semester 5 classes straight As while taking A/P 2 alongside with micro. i want to speak to the Dean of Admissions this week,in regards to my HESI score and see if its normal for people to get in with these scores. I scored a cum score of 90. on the math and science . and those subjects are most important. i hope she looks at the breakdown and take it into consideration. Last years spring evening ended with a overall average of 75. and the comments stated students have been admitted with a 76, 81, 84 , etc. so it gives me some hope. but i cant be too optimistic we still have 3 days left of testing. I am praying for everyone on this board ... believe me.

My cousin got in (in 2013) with a score of 82. Someone mentioned before, they take the top score and accept the top 90 scores (or however many students they are accepting). So as long as you fall into the top 90, you are fine. Do you know what the overall average is right now? I'm taking the test tomorrow at 5:00. Good luck!

Last time I checked it was. 73... I believe. Went up slightly to a 75! Again it keeps fluctuating every hour!!!!!

I took my test last week and scored 89. Hopefully thats good enough to get accepted. We should hear from the the 29th or 30th of this month! Good luck everybody! Did anyone apply for any scholarships for this program? Got rejected for FAFSA because I completed too many credits at BCC!

I hope so! I am happy with what I scored. We can only hope we get in! I'm actually super local to BCC, and live in New Milford haha.

Great! I'll be praying for all of us!! You only scored a point higher than me ... I want to feel 100% optimistic but there's always that doubt! I mean the evening I heard is less competitive! So we have a good chance! Fingers crossed! I'll be so disappointed I busted my butt and studed for 6 months

I legit only studied for like 2 weeks, and was completely fried before taking the test.

I've got my fingers crossed as well and keep checking the evolve grades haha.

Our class score is 74.6%. If we do not get in based off these scores it is not meant to happen. They gauge our admission based on 40% GPA and 60% our test score. If you have a GPA over 3.0 and a score that's above average you should get in.

Hey guys! Just took my HESI and got an 89% as well. Super nervous but hoping for the best for all of us.

In speaking with a few people on campus, I haven't heard of many people that even made it this far through the application process so hopefully that's a good sign!

Also, mmonahan1522 i read/was told that the HESI is about 3/5 of your entrance, your GPA 1/5 and the other 1/5 is whether you're in county/out of county. I could be wrong though but that's what I've been told/read.

Great scores. For those of you who will get in the program, do not go crazy buying all the books on the syllabus listed as required. Wait until orientation. We'll talk about it during the student panel session.

How do you feel about a 83.3% cum score and 3.112 gpa bergen county?? Do I have a good chance? I got a 90 overall score for science and math 81 for grammar vocab and reading brought my score down
