Bergen Community College Evening Program Spring 2016

Published

Hey guys! So I'm applying to the BCC evening nursing program that starts in spring 2016. Is there anyone else out there who is applying with me? I'm going crazy with anticipation for the applications to open lol. I just want to get started already!!

anyone else take it yet? Mine is at 5pm today. I am nervous as hell. Pretty sure I didn't study enough. How long did the whole test take?

It took me 2.5 hours to take the test so far the average I believe is like 77 it gets lower and keeps getting higher we have about one week of testing left how do you feel about my score with a GPA of 3.1 my score was an 83.3I spoke to the admissions ; Elsa and she told me that my score is good in my GPA is good and they excepted once both with my GPA and with my score she kept telling me not to worry but then again it all depends on how well the class does im not too confident I can only pray and hope

that whole comment above was grammatically incorrect, i apologize. i was driving and speaking through the microphone thingy ! lol

I think you'll be fine. The class average score is typically around the mid 70's. I haven't figured out how to check our cohort scores. Don't know our Cohort ID. After taking the Hesi, if I don't get in I am not meant to be a nurse. I scored:

Reading Comp - 92%

Grammar - 98%

Vocabulary - 98%

Biology - 100%

Chemistry - 100%

Math - 96%

Cumulative - 97.33%

Your definitely in without a doubt.... As for me now im even more scared ugh!

The class average is currently 79.3%.

The class average is currently 79.3%.
yes! I checked. Before and an hour ago it was a 66!!!! It keeps flunctuating ... I guess after you took your exam that score boosted up! LOL

Wow, awesome scores! Did you study anything besides the recommended book?

I just reviewed the booklet. Though I would recommend looking over the first couple of chapters in a bio and chem book. Someone before mentioned it. That will definitely help. The vocabulary is hit or miss on what you study but definitely focus on medical terminology. Math I did not have to study, but if it is your weakness, I would practice ratios and fractions. Reading comprehension...try newsela.com has a ton of short articles with attached multiple choice, and you can change the reading level to different grade levels as you improve.

Class Average: 77.5%

For anyone who took the test do they give you your score right away?! I take mine on Tuesday. Good Luck everyone!!!

Thanks for the advice. I was supposed to take it today, but had to reschedule because I had to have minor surgery. I will be taking it on Wednesday.

Good Luck to everyone!

You get your score after each section, and they print out your scores based on category and cumulative.
