  1. Received the good news! Congratulations to everyone! Woot, Woot! And I saw that our class schedules were already up if you log into your Bergen Student Account and unfortunately it seems as if my social life will become nonexistent next semester...classes M-Th 5-10pm.
  2. AGREED! Ahh! I'm excited. I cannot wait for the results. Good luck to ERRBODY! We shall hear the good news soon.
  3. Chin up guys! Have faith. You'll get in, no worries. Last time I applied I was accepted with subpar scores: 84 on the HESI and below a 3.0 "Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts." - W. Churchill. Best quote for times like these.
  4. Just spoke to Wendi, she had informed me that we should hear back late next week. Whether if that's for the final acceptance letter or not, she did not say, but she had told me that they have not received our testing scores just yet. And as for me, I think I took the correct test because I checked my assessment report and on the upper left hand corner it says "BERGEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE - RN DISTANCE TESTING" Good to go?
  5. I called Wendi and left her a message. But I took the correct sections. Some of them had 55 questions though...I don't quite remember which ones exactly. But hopefully they'll still accept the test as valid :/ I don't know how it got messed up.
  6. Took the HESI the other day and scored a 93.33%! But on the chemistry subset, I wasn't able to get a periodic table. Did anyone else have this problem? Also, I noticed at the top of the exam it said "BCCC VET TECH." Not sure if I should be concerned or not...
  7. I wouldn't wait until last minute only because I registered the other day and there were not a lot of options to choose from. Only a few available days are left along with time slots. Now I have to drive about 40 mins away to take it. Good luck though!
  8. Yup, just checked my email and I also received the invitation. And yes it is very odd that we don't have to take the A&P portion, especially because it was a prerequisite? I am very confused. But we do have to take the chemistry portion...NOOOO!
  9. No need to worry about the Grammar and Reading portion. It's just basic sentence structure and word knowledge. For example I literally remember them asking what was the correct way to spell "Calendar." Easy enough right? And the Math subset is quite easy as well. It's nothing compared to complex algebra, but rather simple equations like solving for "x", basic division, subtraction, etc. Plus if I am not mistaken you are able to use the on-screen calculator. What you should be studying for is the BIO, CHEM (if you have to take it), and A&P. If you want to go more in depth in these subjects just let me know. But don't sweat it, you'll do fine.
  10. Yeah I just finished my Background Check. Quick question though. Do they just want your current address or from the previous 10 years? I wasn't sure because it did not state it in the directions. Anyway, when I applied for the Day Program back in 2012 I was not required to take the Chemistry subset. But a lot has changed. For instance, when I applied you had to have your HESI already completed and send it to BCCC. There was not invitation to take it AFTER applying.
  11. Hey everyone! I am also applying to the Evening Nursing Program. I was originally accepted into the Day Program, but unfortunately it was just not opportune for me at the time. But nevertheless I am excited to be in this boat with you'll! The waiting is agonizing. And those who score low on the HESI don't worry. I scored a rough 84% and still was accepted. But does anyone know if we will have to take the Chemistry portion of the HESI exam? I am absolutely dreading that part...I'm in Chem II right now and I am having brain aneurysms. So difficult!
