So, I just got past my application with Bergen and have submitted to my background check. I know there is nothing there that is going to come up so I wanted to ask some questions about the test. Is it the NET test? For which ever test it is what is the best way to prepare for it.
If I get into the program I was wondering if anyone knew if my credits from a pervious college would transfer over or would i have to take the classes over. I have my math, psychology, sociology, and some other classes from a 4 year college I had gone to and left for the Bergen Nursing program because my previous school didn't have. If anyone has any sort of tis or anything I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
Ashley
That's awesome...glad that you got everything completed!
And no I'm not, but I'm thinking that I probably should have taken Anatomy this summer instead of in the fall. Oh well, it's going to be a little more work, but I'll have to deal with it.
I've kinda become obsessed with this website haha. I think it's because I'm a little nervous about starting, but we'll see.
Hahaha, I know every change I get Im here.
But u do get a lot of info from here from other students.
I can surely say u are going to have a lot of work to do with all your classes! I am taking micro now on summer U and i'm so happy I did that! U can't wait to take these classes during the next summer?
It's funny, I am a mixture of pure excitement and raw nervousness lol!!
Yeah, I am getting a lot of information. Considering that this program is only two years its sort of all crammed in there.
See I was going to try and take some next summer, but then I decided that I want to try to get an externship, maybe. So I figured that I'll just cram like crazy these two years and then hopefully get a job. I mean I have a strong background in Bio, so maybe it won't be as difficult as I think?
Is Micro hard so far?
You will be fine!! The whole point is knowing how to manage your time well I guess.
I like Micro, it is really interesting and you learn a lot of useful info plus my professor is great! His name is Kaltz for future reference :)
It is a lot of information to memorize at once, I have my first test on Thursday. I guess it gets a lot easier when the professor is good and willing to work with you and not against you!!
I have the feeling they're going to be slick and not tell us until the last moment!
As far as clinicals, I'm not sure but I think that it will probably include Hackensack, St. Josephs, and Bergen Regional for the Psych rotation.
Maybe possibly Holy Name too? Although maybe not since they have their own nursing school...
Hey guys! I'm in the 003 section for all 3 classes...and still trying to find a CPR class! There's nothing available between now and July 15th on the AHA website, so I'm trying to find someplace else. Still have to do the malpractice ins, book and kit buying, uniforms, and CPR. They gave us so much to do in so little time... plus I don't qualify for any financial aid, so I have no CLUE as to how I'm paying for it all. Eeesh.
As for hospitals, and ex-boyfriend of mine did his clinicals at St. Joe's, Valley, Hackensack, and BRMC, but it all depends on where you get assigned.
Can't wait to meet you guys in person!
