Bergen Community College Day Program

U.S.A. New Jersey

Published

So, I just got past my application with Bergen and have submitted to my background check. I know there is nothing there that is going to come up so I wanted to ask some questions about the test. Is it the NET test? For which ever test it is what is the best way to prepare for it.

If I get into the program I was wondering if anyone knew if my credits from a pervious college would transfer over or would i have to take the classes over. I have my math, psychology, sociology, and some other classes from a 4 year college I had gone to and left for the Bergen Nursing program because my previous school didn't have. If anyone has any sort of tis or anything I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Ashley

LOL I know perhaps with the paper in hand it will feel more official!

Congratulation to u and all who are admitted!!

Sheesh they want an awful lot of stuff done in the next two weeks...

I know.. I took a trip up there today to get registration issues all straightened out. Lucky for us they treat nursing students like gold :) Hey.. anyone down for taking the CPR certification together with me? Maybe we could carpool or at least get to meet each other before class begins.

Hey! We can't register until we send in the physical correct?

Also, I already registered for the 18th in Fairfield...haha wanted to get it out of the way as soon as possible since they were filling up.

I'd definitely be willing to meet ya but if you go that day. If not, then I guess I'll meet you at orientation!

I registered anyway. Couldn't get a Dr.'s appointment until the 23rd and if we don't register by the 25th we might lose our spot (supposedly). It won't stop you from registering. How did you find the CPR class?

Okay awesome...you registered online? Maybe I'll try that, even though I have a Dr's appointment Monday.

I went on the American Heart Associations website and registered for the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR class. Let me see if I can find the link that I used...

Yup. Just register in WebAdvisor. Thanks for the link. We just need to have the CPR class before class starts, right? I could take it in August?

Hmm yeah one thing said before class starts and then (the pink colored sheet) said it had to be completed by July 15th. I figured better safe than sorry...

I already got all my books all 8 of them!! I am going to be so broke with all this LOL.

I registered for the 001 section and didn't have any problems. I think we just have to submit the physical by July 15 with the rest of the stuff. Also I got the malpractice inssurance application and that should take like a week to be approved I guess. My gosh it's so much stuff!!

Do u guys know where we can CPR and how much it costs?

Wow you're quick! Where did you see what books we have to get? I only registered for A&P so far, I have too look at the rest now.

I also did the online at nso.com. As for the CPR course, I posted a link up above. If you put in your zip code and stuff it tells you where there are courses close to you. I'm doing the one in Fairfield on Thursday night. It's $85.

I took all my classes already I only have nursing classes to take now! It's hard enough to take 3 nursing classes. U should apply soon to the classes while they are available the schedule is not very good.

As for the books if u go to the nursing page at Bergen.edu u can search nursing and it shows. At the bottom it shows textbooks for 2010 and some more useful information.

Hmm I wonder if they would let me out of General Psych and Writing since I already have a Bachelor's in Psych. I mean, its sort of useless to take it again when I have a 4 year degree in the subject. I'll have to ask....

Thanks!
