U.S.A. Tennessee

does anyone have info on this program?

I'm considering this program, too. How rigorous is it? Are the instructors nice and helpful or do they like to embarrass students? Also, what is the schedule like during the week for the accelerated program?

It is pretty rigorous, but really depends on the semester. Since it is only 4 semesters straight through, one of those will be in the summer, which means it will be condensed and even more time consuming. Clinicals take up a lot of time, but so do the classes/projects so time management is an absolute must. It's definitely not unbearable, just think of it as a marathon and not a sprint.

The instructors over all are really good; you will have some that you absolutely love, and some that you don't care for. Each teacher has their own style, but all are very approachable and willing to help out in anyway they can.

Your schedule depends on the semester you are in. Be prepared to be in a class, lab, or clinical 5 days a week. You will most likely be M-F, but I do know of one or two Peds clinical groups having to go on Saturdays due to clinical space. If this is the case, you will have Sunday + one other day off during the week so you only have 5 days of classes.

Hey! I have applied to Belmont for their Fast Track (the same as accelerated basically) and have been accepted on the condition that someone drops out for grades or financial reasons. Knowing that I have a chance really has me wondering if the program is worth it? I just visited the campus (GORGEOUS) and though I didn't meet with anyone from the nursing school, I'm just curious as to how rigorous the program really is? The fast track appealed more to me so I can work in a hospital during the Summer and have a "break" from the accelerated curriculum. I hope you are doing well, surely have graduated or are about to! Thanks in advance for any input you can provide :).

Hi! I know you posted this many years ago but I am currently in the same boat. I’m a bit older with a non-nursing degree But I’m wondering if I should do the accelerated or fast -track!! What and how did you decide?? Send help.:)
